Hot Croc!

Yay! I am back... feels like I was under a mountain of commitments this past week, and I have been desperately been trying to find time to post about these great new pumps from House of Nyla, I have reviewed Nyla Cheeky's footwear in the past, heavily jewelled prim sculptures that match her costume creations perfectly. This time around Nyla has ventured into the land of sculpties, freely admitting that she did not design the sculpts here, but the custom texturing and decoration take these way out of generic shoe territory. The Crocodile Pumps, or mock croc as it where, come in loads of delicious colors of richly detailed reptile skin. There are black beads all around the foot opening and on the top of the heel, adding a bit of the traditional Nyla pizazz to these. Great shoes offered at a very reasonable price point, well worth a look.

Jog over to The House of Nyla for yours!

The stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin - Smokey, DejaVu Lady Crocodile Hair - Black, So Many Styles Animal Dress - Red, Armidi Grace Jeans - Bleached, Celestial Studios Patent Cherry Bag, Ume Mode Crown Pendant Necklace, Red Bangles by Cashmere.

More Artwork from Nyla

It's always a beautiful day when Nyla Cheeky releases more of her couture creations into Second Life®. Her latest releases come complete with shoes, so lucky me... I get to share them with all of you! Just visiting the House of Nyla it's easy to see what sets her work apart, there are only a handful of top designers in SL™ who can really boast that they design for both worlds. Nyla creates with an artists touch, her use of color and textiles is really spectacular.

The release of her Red Dragon Corset Gown and Jet Nymph Corset Cocktail Dress mark the arrival of the Empress Mules. These daintily beaded sandals are delicate works of art, the tiny prim work is remarkable. This go round at shoe making Nyla has revamped the shape of the shoe and the overall level of realism. I like the look of the stamped leather soles a lot. The overall look of the dresses and shoes is as usual, the stuff of fantasies.

Find the Empress Mules and these beautiful dresses at House of Nyla.

Made by Hand, with Love.

If you knock on the door at the House of Nyla surely it will open to reveal a busy little workshop filled with amazing textiles, feathers, sequins and beads. Real life fashion designer Nyla Cheeky is one of the few that I could really say creates items akin to couture in SL. Most of what you find in her shop at Starax are recreations of garments she has made by hand - for red carpets, runways, and fashion lovers that share her love of color and attention to detail.

I am always impressed when a designer makes something unique and something that works so well with their clothing. Nyla has had in store for a while a small collection of footwear designed to match her fun frisky fashions. With her SL Birthday falling on Valentine’s Day, Nyla has released some adorable new lingerie sets (see I told you, I can’t keep my clothes on this week), called Candy Heart Fairies and Love Fairies. I saw her post on the new releases and I was reminded about her adorable shoes.

Now anyone who has been reading On Your Toes is well aware of my love of sculpted stilettos, but there is something to be said for cute shoes of any kind. And these Beaded Platforms have a wonderfully hand crafted quality to them, as if I can see Nyla working away with a bowl of crystal beads in front of her, assembling the hearts on the toe one at a time. They remind me of the homemade Valentine cards that somehow stick around on the fridge longer than the store bought variety, and I mean that in the best possible way. They do have a hint of bling, and some optional heel clicks… but they are costume pieces, so I think they are worthy of the extra sparkle. Pairs shown are; Cinnamon Heart Beaded Platforms, Blackened Heart Beaded Platforms & Sour Heart Beaded Platforms.

If you are looking to get your ‘cupid on’ with a little character this Valentines Day, take your feet to House of Nyla.
