The Beautiful Ingenue, Part Two

Ingenue has made shoes!  There are just not enough vintage stores on the grid, and ones that make vintage shoes?  Forget about it.  Luckily for us, the designers who do make vintage wear are really, really good at it.

Betty Doyle recently released two pairs of pumps, and now flats!  Unfortunately, I finished this photo before I found out about the flats, but I'm sure I'll be buying the fatpack and wearing out the virtual leather before long.

Both sets of pumps come in a bajillionty colours, and there are endless package deals you can buy.  For example, you can buy the extra-fat pack (or as Autumn calls it, the Fat But Still Pretty Pack), packages of a colour theme, like pastels or brights, or even three-packs.  I love choices, and Ingenue does not disappoint.

These shoes are really well done.  The textures are fantastic, and the prim work is really good.  And they're super cute to wear!  They include a resizeable script as well, which is good because I actually did have to resize them a little bit.

Anyhow, go get them.  They don't disappoint.  Teleport to Ingenue.

Additional items worn:

Ingenue - Edie sweater
Ingenue - Memo skirt
LeLutka - Purse
Fri.day - Cameron Hair
Dutch Touch - Gwen skin
Paper Couture - Chandy earrings

StyleCard: Periquita Steps

Periquita has offered us another sweet and unique style, or two. The S-Steps and Q-Steps are funky chunky pumps crafted with the same wonderful sculptural quality and fabulous textures we are now used to from creator Erpla Prieto. They have an almost reptile skinned look but in a smooth and subtle way. Easy shoes to wear with casual looks, and definitely fun.

Beautiful and bright colors with just a hint of shine on the toe. Nicely shaped heels and I love the texturing of the sole.

The Q-Steps version features a cute little T-strap variation for an even sassier look. I went for monochromatic and paired mine with the latest from DCNY Clothing Co. the Beryl Dress, which is fun and flirty, and the Aradia Hair from TRUTH with its pretty color change flowers.

The Stuff;

Shoes - Periquita S-Steps, Black

Skin - Skin - Gala Phoenix JUNE Sundust (Frex)

Hair - Truth Aradia

Dress - DCNY Beryl Dress (includes Belt)

Necklace - Ume Mode, Color Change Beads

Periquita Returns

It has been a long time since I have had the pleasure of chatting with Erpla Prieto, the creator of those quirky irresistible shoes under the store name Periquita. She contacted me last night to share some happy news, and that she was going to be rejoining SL a bit more with multiple new products planned. The first release hit the shelves last night, the Chicky Chic Pumps.

A cute little pump with that signature Perquita styling, and as always, released in a tantalizing series of shades. I love the uber pointy and hand molded appearance of these shoes, with a nice leather texture that is reminiscent of ostrich. I am looking forward to what comes next, welcome back Erpla!

Visit Periquita for some happy shoe-ness.

Also wearing; Redgrave Skin, Laqroki Hair, W&B Tube Dress, Fleur Belt, Artilleri Hair Lilly, Necklace and Earrings by Chloe, U&R Dogs Bracelet.

Hot Croc!

Yay! I am back... feels like I was under a mountain of commitments this past week, and I have been desperately been trying to find time to post about these great new pumps from House of Nyla, I have reviewed Nyla Cheeky's footwear in the past, heavily jewelled prim sculptures that match her costume creations perfectly. This time around Nyla has ventured into the land of sculpties, freely admitting that she did not design the sculpts here, but the custom texturing and decoration take these way out of generic shoe territory. The Crocodile Pumps, or mock croc as it where, come in loads of delicious colors of richly detailed reptile skin. There are black beads all around the foot opening and on the top of the heel, adding a bit of the traditional Nyla pizazz to these. Great shoes offered at a very reasonable price point, well worth a look.

Jog over to The House of Nyla for yours!

The stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin - Smokey, DejaVu Lady Crocodile Hair - Black, So Many Styles Animal Dress - Red, Armidi Grace Jeans - Bleached, Celestial Studios Patent Cherry Bag, Ume Mode Crown Pendant Necklace, Red Bangles by Cashmere.

LeLutka Steps It Up

Happily ready to follow up my previous teaser post with a closer look at the new footwear from LeLutka. Amazingly enough, this premier shoe release consists of two distinct style options which are credited to two very talented women. Both Thora Charron and Minnu Palen have contributed footwear to the new Spring line, a collection of shoes that perfectly compliments the rest of the LeLutka collection, but also stands alone in style and texture as a great footwear option for lovers of flats and platform pumps alike.

Thora Charron is responsible for the Korina flats, a sweet little flat that is available in 3 distinct textures; Fabric with attractive sculpted bows, Checked with a very nice subtle pattern & Leather which adds a touch of sparkle with a row of large rhinestones across the toe. The only down side is trying to decide which color and which style you like the best, if you are a lover of flats then you might want them all.

Minnu Palen continues to challenge her skills as a designer, it seems that LeLutka (formerly MMS), has given her the opportunity to explore beyond men's and women's skins, and branch out into hair, clothing, and now shoes. Her Shanon pumps have a stylish platform style base, tall stiletto heel and come in some really sophisticated shades. The pumps have a reptile skin texture and come in soft pastels and vivid brights, and a very special diamond variation that has rhinestone details on the back of the heel. I am a big fan of the added touch of color around the shoe opening, really nice detail.

A visit to the newly re-opened LeLutka would not be complete without a closer look at the shoes.

The Stuff; With Korina - LeLutka Korina flats in Checkered Green, LeLutka Satin Pants in Ice, LeLutka Grace Earrings (group gift), Maitreya Cami in Teal (from Mirli Sweater), Lalique Bag by Ingrid Ingersoll, Redgrave Leona Skin & Maitreya Mayte hair in Coffee. With Shanon - LeLutka Shanon Pumps in Beige, LeLutka Mischa Jeans with Cuffs (group gift), LeLutka 100% Plastic Bag (group gift), Armidi Sheer Ribbed Tank in Beige, Redgrave Leona Skin and Analogue Dog 'Go' Hair in Black.

Strawberry Season

Just a quick StyleCard post to share these delicious Strawberry Stiletto Pumps from Love Soul and the accompanying hair created jointly by Love Soul & Junwave. When shopping for some more of that adorable Junwave hair this morning I was drawn in by a giant strawberry display in the centre of the shop, contained within was a full range of strawberry themed items, including the hair with berry accessories, rings, prim nails, mouth accessories (*groans*) and animated berries you can sit in. I have never really been able to resist the adorable edibles of SL, so I consumed a few of the items as the price is incredibly affordable.

The pumps are exquisitely detailed re-imaginings of those by now recognizable full perms kit shoes. I was impressed by the strawberry texture and baked in shine, the cluster of berries on the toe, and most of all the leaves on the heel where a tiny ladybug has made it's home. The hair is a sweet side pony with a fork bobby pin (amazingly detailed and stabbing a perfect strawberry) and a berry ornamented pony tail holder. The hair comes with the straight cut bangs (worn here) and also a more relaxed split wavy bang version.

The rest of the look features a few more goodies, starting with the fantastic Strawberry Purse from Chapeau Tres Mignon, the Fruitylicious Charm Bangle from TOSL, and the Strawberry Cake Earrings from Sweet Decoration. Clothing items are the beautiful Valerie Blouse by LeeZu in white, the Cleo Jeans Skirt by Maitreya, and a lacy red Nicolette Bra from TART, to add a bit of sexy to all that sweetness.

You can find the Shoes at Love Soul/Junwave.

The stuff; Redgrave Skin, Junwave Hair, LeeZu Top, Maitreya Skirt, Tart Bra, Earrings by Sweet Decoration, Bangles from TOSL and M.R.M., Purse from Chapeau Tres Mignon.

Truth: Trainers and Freebie

Yes, it is the truth! Truth Hawks just released some cute new trainers that fit both the male and female foot. The only hiccup is that you really should have the latest version of the SL viewer to see this shoe correctly. I'm technologically challenged, and can't explain why, but without the new viewer the shoe looks like it's missing some pieces. But let me tell you, once that is taken care of, what a cute cute shoe! Additionally, check out the free Balmoral pumps as previously blogged by Nessa. Yes, these lovelies are free and come in a nice selection of colors. Check out Truth InWorld and OnLine.

StyleCard: Lya & Naïve

I will never get bored in SL as long as there is color and newness and endless ways to express my quirky all over the place style. Lyanis Sin of Lya is one of the colorful people in my SL, she is bright and funny and one-of-a-kind, and she keeps on impressing me with her rapidly improving skills at making great shoes. A quick look back at her very first sculpted shoes here, will demonstrate just what I mean. Lyanis' latest Lya release, the Nichelle Pumps are a killer looking shoe, I love everything about them, color, style and shape. A nice in-between from the hyper-real and the more 'cartoonish' sculpted footwear.

I also really like what I see from relatively new clothing brand Naïve, whose creator Leah McCullough, among her many other talents, has a really strong sense of color and some great fun looks in her store which can be found here. I paired it all with this amazing hat/hair combo from ::69:: and a constant favorite Fresh Baked Goods bangle.

Get these great pumps in several yummy shades at Lya. (and check out the lucky chairs too!)

A bit of a new look for my posts , just something I am trying - your feedback welcome. (Click on image to see full size version)

The Stuff; PXL Skin, ::69:: Hair, Clothing by Naïve, Shoes by Lya, Bracelets by Naïve(R) and Fresh Baked Goods(L), Earrings by [P/a] - PERTURB/ation.

Double DeLa, Part One

Another busy phase in RL and SL has seriously sidelined my ability to get these reviews out as fast as I might like, as I sincerely apologize to anyone who has sent items... my hope is to get caught up by the weekend. In the meantime it's back to business as usual, and shoes that make me feel so fortunate to be able to share them with you. Kuranosuke Kamachi at DeLa has had a busy summer, so many amazing releases that this must now be a 2 part post, the first part being to share 2 sensational new pumps the Stella and the Silvera.

The Silvera are a sleek pointy toed classic pump, with a perfect high shine and sexy shape. They reminded me of the fall season just around the corner and all the exciting coats and warmer wear just ahead. They look so great peeking out from below a long sleek pair of trousers, and they come in a range of colors that will make any shoe fan gleeful.

The Stella are just too darling for words, with these giant dimensional satiny bows... yes bows and Anessa... peas and carrots, what can I say. Cute shape, nice peep toe design with a smexy stacked wooden heel that I adore the look of. The just scream to be paired with a sleek party dress.

I recommend both styles and I can't wait to share the other exciting DeLa goodies with you soon... head on over to DeLa for your shoe fix!

I am wearing; with Stella - Giusia Skin, ::69:: Hair, Ibizarre Outfit, Fleur Gloves, Hair Rose by ::: Usagui My Field :::. with Silvera - Giusia Skin, ::69:: Lucky Chair Hair (Butterflies Removed), Novocaine Dress, LBD Necklace.

Taking Sulaco for a Walk

Some newness to share from Enktan Gully of Enkythings, the Sulaco is a peep toed ankle strap pump, and the quality of these is exceptional. They are exceedingly well done, loads of detail from stitching to strap, a perfectly shaped heel and lovely thin sculpted leather parts.

As with many Enkythings releases there are many color options available to suit your wardrobe, check in store for full selection. The Sulaco also comes in a 'Simple' and a 'Shades' version which features a second color contrast piece and insole. My fave is the 'oh-so-white' White Simple version, which features additional white sole detail - perfect for spring weddings!

FNKY News

Sale Alert! Maybe it's just news to me, but yesterday I discovered that FNKY has marked down it's footwear collection by, as near as I can tell, as much as half price (if someone knows for sure I'd be happy to post the details). I've been eyeing the T Strap pumps for a good while now, and was happy to grab these pink ones up for the very reasonable sale price.

Also noteworthy, the great men's shoes - some of my favorite ever guy's casuals -have been marked down, along with the unisex Kicks, an all around great suede sneaker.

Shop the Sale at FNKY.

Hello Dolly!

A couple new versions of the Dolly shoes have hit the shelves at Periquita, the cute shoe shop by creator Erpla Prieto. The latest styles carry on the tradition of bright color and simple fun footwear that have cute names; Tie Me Up Dollys and Wrap Me Up Dollys.

The Tie Me Up pumps are patent leather capped toe confections. They come in great shades, 7 in all; the White with Red Toes (shown above), Blue, Green, Light Green, Orange Pink and White - all with Black Patent Leather Toes. While I love all the colors, it seems like forever since I have seen a capped toe pump, I love this look for that alone.

The Wrap Me Ups are another great looking shoe by Erpla, same shape as the Tie Me Ups - but with 3 'ribbons' wrapping the toe, and an adorable sculpted bow. I so dig the teal interiors on these shoes, and the fun colors really inspired me to dig in my inventory and pull a fun teal accented look together.

Weighing in with 8 great color combos; I am wrapped up in the Yellow, below are Crazy Barbie Pink, Cyan, Green, Pink Stripes, Purple and Soft Pink ('Bug' not shown). Some of the Wrap Me Up pumps have a matching heel, while others have a dark heel - and they all look great!

These shoes are so much fun to wear, every girl show have some! Get yours at Periquita.

Also wearing; 1. Minnu Skin, Armidi Hair, 'The Kitty Box' Dress, SiniStyle Hair Rose, LoLo Bag and Accessories by Second Mirage. 2. Minnu Skin, Armidi Hair, /artilleri/ Tank Top, TOSL Skirt, !BF! Necklace, Caroline's and Earthtones Bangles, Orchid Dreams Belt.

Rare Beauties

Maitreya's latest, called the Mishima Dawn, is named after a rare exotic orchid... how fitting. This pump with ankle boot aspirations is the most amazingly complete shoe yet released by Onyx and Beau, and the fit is awe inspiring. The colours are muted and earthy, the textures run the gambit from soft to speckled suedes, and rough to high shine patent leathers, and crocs... all of which are rendered with undeniable precision. Shown below is the Patent Tan, my personal fave.

There are 25 variations in all, some -much like the Slinky Stiletto- come with optional steel heel accents. The group below are just a small sample of these wonderful 'ankle boots'; Top Row L-R: Patent/Suede Liquorice with steel accent, Patent Bistre, Shiny/Suede Black, Bottom Row L-R: Ruff Leather Blue, Ruff Leather Green, and Patent Auburn.

Get these beautiful shoes at Maitreya.

Also wearing; Minnu Skin, Hair, 'heart' Cupcakes Dress, G.L.A.M. Tights, Miam Miam Purse, Acessories by Caroline's and Paper Couture.

Twilight in Tableau

Yuuki Kurosawa makes sweet things in her shop Sugar Cube. Her Ketty line of shoes is small, but her latest release the Twilight Pump caught my eye when I saw it on the feed this morning. I like to have a variety of shoe styles in my wardrobe, ones that are hyper realistic with details that amaze, and also shoes that have a more hand drawn... err... hand sculpted feel to them. It just so happened that her release coincided with newness from Nylon Outfitters - and I so adore hand drawn clothing... I scampered off to Tableau to grab some goodies.

The shoes are undeniably cute, have a great shape and a nice moderate height. Grab a pair of these very reasonably priced pumps at Sugar Cube.

Also wearing; Nylon Outfitters Skin, BettiePage Voyageur Hair, Nylon Outfitters Jacket, Savvy? T-shirt, [Random] Pants, Accessories by Caroline's & [Amaretto] and Necklace by elka Lehane/Boing Fromage.

Simply Put

I just had to share with you some shoes that I think are truly an example of the kind of future sculpted shoes can have in SL. The Simply Me shoes by Ella Ireton are anything but simple, they are a pumped up pump… complete with rivets, tassels and buckles. Available at COPYKAT (DONT GET IT TWISTED) and hidden amongst some super creative boots that are really worth a look on their own, these shoes are a funky addition to your footwear inventory.

The Simply Me comes in 6 great shades; Red, Purple, Blue, Pink, a basic Tan-like shade & a Light Purple. I like the rounded toe and the darker contrasting accents, such as the heel and small metal details. My favorite shade was the Light Purple which I paired with the great ‘Toronto’ jacket by Valenttina Carfagno of Frozen Turquoise Valentine.

These shoes are worth a look, you can get them at COPYKAT.

Also wearing; Minnu Skin, RaC Hair, LAST CALL Blouse, Shai Pants, Acessories by /artilleri/, Second Mirage & hand tinted bangles from [Amaretto]. (review copies reqested)
