Just Teasing

Warning: This post contains shameless self-promotion, or rather, clothing from the *New* DCNY because my shopping time has been severely limited lately... but much more important than that are the shoes, and it should always be more about the shoes, dontcha think?

Nardya Rousselot is a busy girl, she is a hard one to catch online these days... but whenever I do catch her I usually harass her with questions about her next shoe release, when is it coming? what is she making? etc. But as recently as this past weekend, she finally had an answer for me, and today, a sneak peek at the lovely MANA Edith, an elegant ankle strap heel from Nardcotix.

It has all the quality we have grown to expect from well made foot-in-shoe styles, and it also boasts one of the most user friendly hud designs I have used. It was one click for me to match my PXL Linda G3 Light Tan Skin perfectly, and there are enough shade presets to make it easy, and any custom tinting and darkening is a piece of cake.

If you have owned MANA styles before you will pleased to note that your existing hud will work perfectly here, so if you have saved your personal skin settings they are available, as are any custom nail art options you may have already added to your hud. The color variety that will be offered on this style is bigger than ever, real eye candy shades too!

Riding The Rails With ANEXX

Inspired by the breezy casual styles of the latest footwear release from ANNEX, footwear created by Machang Pichot of AOHARU, I decided to head out to the Plains and test out 3 great new pairs. Starting with a Western Boot that has ample fringe, and eye catching metal stud details around the leg opening, the Fringe Western Boots are sure to please with their slightly worn look and gently shaped foot.

Next came a very feminine little ballet flat, covered in an all over floral embroidered fabric, a sweet bow and leather trimming make it perfect for wearing with casual summery dresses or jeans. The shoes come with versions for the updated SL viewer, including a sweet sock-in version (not shown here). I choose the very special Payton Dress from DCNY Clothing Co. (short version) and paired it with a cropped leather jacket from AOHARU for this part of my journey.


Finally, as I climbed back on board the footwear express... the Bow Ballet Flats were just the thing to travel home in comfortable style, with a cute sculpted bow on the back. More great clothing from AOHARU was a natural choice, the latest releases of lacey skirts and belted cotton button downs are hard to resist. The all white theme may not be the best for the dusty plains, but they will surely find a home in your inventory easily enough.

Tya Fallingbridge is a designer who listens to her customers, so much so that within 24 hours of releasing her latest, the Baby T's from Pixel Mode, she went back to her drawing board and whipped up a variation of the original. Now I have two styles to rave about instead of just one. The original features a built in sock with sweet lace details and delicate ties up the back, not only are these amazingly cute and sexy, but with no need to tint prim feet, they are very wearable.


After requests from her customers to create a sockless version of the T's, without a prim foot of any sort, Tya comes through with the update! Now you can decide which style you prefer, and in which of the multitude of colors available. Spring shoe shopping as easy as pie!

Gifts & Tributes

Just a quick post to share some new favorite things today. I logged in to find an invitation to visit Heros of Fashion a small exhibition of some incredible fashion tributes, including some inspired by Lee Alexander McQueen, whose recent passing has touched many in the fashion world. Megg Demina of Chapeau tres Mignon, has assembled some amazing hats, boots and accessories with proceeds from most purchases benefiting The City and East London Bereavement Service. I am wearing the McQueen Rose Boots and the Philip Treacy Flower Hat. The exhibit is really interesting and worth checking out.

LeLutka treated it's group members to yet another gifty today, this is seriously a group worth being in, no enrollment charge and wonderfully made gifts are frequent. I am wearing one of the two items, the Jest Away Leggings. I am also wearing the I'm a Romantic hair from lamb! and the shirt and vest from DCNY's Madelene outfit.

Nardcotix for the New Year!

A couple of quick hits from Nardcotix today, hard to believe that this is my final post for 2009! Nardya Rousellot has just released a fantastic basic pump in 20 great shades and there is a special pre-release of the Nuria MaryJanes to accompany a great look from DCNY Clothing Co. too!

The Nuria MaryJanes (in Black & White) were sent to me for a peek weeks ago, and I had forgotten all about them until I was shooting some ads for DCNY, they were a perfect match with the new outfit so I contacted Nardya to release the preview pair at the DCNY Store today, to correspond with the release of the Madelene Outfit. Yay!



Also, responding to a special request from a customer, Nardya has released the Rebekah Pumps, a simple and perfect heel, in 20 gorgeous colors. You get both a colored heel and a black heeled version of the shoes in each pack, 2 pairs for the price of one, fantastic! You can find these goodies at the Nardcotix Main Store located here.

StyleCard: Periquita Steps

Periquita has offered us another sweet and unique style, or two. The S-Steps and Q-Steps are funky chunky pumps crafted with the same wonderful sculptural quality and fabulous textures we are now used to from creator Erpla Prieto. They have an almost reptile skinned look but in a smooth and subtle way. Easy shoes to wear with casual looks, and definitely fun.

Beautiful and bright colors with just a hint of shine on the toe. Nicely shaped heels and I love the texturing of the sole.

The Q-Steps version features a cute little T-strap variation for an even sassier look. I went for monochromatic and paired mine with the latest from DCNY Clothing Co. the Beryl Dress, which is fun and flirty, and the Aradia Hair from TRUTH with its pretty color change flowers.
