A Moshi Moment

Leopard, and ribbons and toes... oh my! Nardcotix introduced the MANA Moshi at the recent CH1C event, and if you haven't visited yet there is still time to explore (these will likely end up in her Mainstore before long). As per usual these NX shoes are well made and in this case have a unique almost retro personality. There are great color combinations of leopard prints and accent ribbon and trim, but my favorite feature would have to be the daring hot pink sole!

To really play off the vibrant hue of the sole I went for a look that combined neutral beige and punches of bright color. A new bag, that I couldn't resist, from the recent LeLutka Summer collection, and a kicky skirt worked well with a sexy hot pink halter from BOOM. I limited the accessories to really bring attention to the great shoes and interesting textures of the outfit, overall it is a great summer ensemble with a shoe that will work with many styles.

Great things come in wedge form; cheese, cake, cheesecake, and shoes! As we saw at Shoe Fair 2011, the wedge is back in a big way, and while there are plenty of summery wedge sandals around, inviting you to slip your toes into, there is yet another wedge that deserves a heap of attention for its vivid colors, curvaceous design, and all around stylishness.Nardya Rousselot or NX Nardcotix introduced the Gloria Wedges a short time ago, and is about to release them in a full on range of colors in her mainstore on the Reek Sim. Just Teasing

Warning: This post contains shameless self-promotion, or rather, clothing from the *New* DCNY because my shopping time has been severely limited lately... but much more important than that are the shoes, and it should always be more about the shoes, dontcha think?

Nardya Rousselot is a busy girl, she is a hard one to catch online these days... but whenever I do catch her I usually harass her with questions about her next shoe release, when is it coming? what is she making? etc. But as recently as this past weekend, she finally had an answer for me, and today, a sneak peek at the lovely MANA Edith, an elegant ankle strap heel from Nardcotix.

It has all the quality we have grown to expect from well made foot-in-shoe styles, and it also boasts one of the most user friendly hud designs I have used. It was one click for me to match my PXL Linda G3 Light Tan Skin perfectly, and there are enough shade presets to make it easy, and any custom tinting and darkening is a piece of cake.

If you have owned MANA styles before you will pleased to note that your existing hud will work perfectly here, so if you have saved your personal skin settings they are available, as are any custom nail art options you may have already added to your hud. The color variety that will be offered on this style is bigger than ever, real eye candy shades too!

Like MANA From Fashion Heaven : Part 2

A little more NX Nardcotix MANA love to hold you over till the launch of this fantastic shoe line this weekend. Two more styles worthy of some shoe blog lovin' from yours truly, the first is a great flat foot-in-shoe sandal called Dezi Flat Sandals (Canvas). I just love the earthy feel of these, great leather details and a really great foot for a flat style. These are available in many shades for the ankle wrap portion, and you get access to some beautiful included toe nail options. You can expand your manicure cache to include several styles of nail art, these incorporate into your shoe HUD and become available on all your MANA footwear.

Ready for another blast of summer shoe fun? The Chelo Wedges in the denim variation are just too yummy for words. You simply cannot go wrong with a shoe like this. Shown here in faded denim with adorable dotted yellow trim, the Chelo Wedges have sweet details like the looped bow accents and woven soles. These come in multiple shades and even a leather version, for a foot-in-shoe wedge these are my hands down faves!

Like MANA From Fashion Heaven : Part 1

And so the tease begins... pay attention to some of your very favorite blogs as the launch of Nardya Rousselot's latest creations, the MANA Footwear Collection, for NX Nardcotix is set to hit stores this weekend, in grand style. Not only will this release be the first foot-in-shoe foray for Nardya, but it also signals the re-opening of the Nardcotix Main Store on the Xalapa Sim. Part 1 of my MANA blog post is all about Anessa, not me, the Anessa Cork Heels that are part of the new collection. Nardya was kind enough to honor me with a very special namesake in these shoes, they are styled after one of my favorite real life designs, and they are unique in their combining of comfy cork, sleek metal, and sexy shape... a bit like me ;-) The shoes come in many beautiful shades (as you can see a sample of below), with the choice of gold or silver platform base, and a completely new manicure system that I just adore.

Things worth noting about the MANA Collection; There are different meanings for the name MANA, but for Nardya it's a combination of her faith and the spanish translation which is slang for 'sister'. Hence many of the shoes are named after her closest friends. The creation of these shoes and the features they offer, some I have never seen before, was one of the most well thought out and carefully planned creations yet worn, they have really incorporated the feedback of more than a few shoe lovers to ensure that they will be a favorite for many.

A Week of Top-Fives: Day Four, Heels

Heeeeeeeels! I love them (in SL :P) and there are so many freakin' amazing ones here, it was a sonofabitch choosing just five pairs!


Maitreya came out with their gold label this summer, I think. I wasn't around so I may be a bit off, but I'm pretty sure that's when they debuted. Anyhow, these Shanti heels are just amazing. They were one of my first purchases when I came back, and of course I had to buy the fatpack. It was a must. One of my favourite features of buying from the gold label is the fact that included is a notecard of common skin creators, and the numbers you need to have to match your foot tone to your skin. For the tonally challenged people like me, this is fantastic.

Nardcotix released these Ashoka plaid heels not too long ago, and they go very well with Phoenix Rising's Motive outfit, as the plaid matches the plaid in the corset. The ruffle is fantastic!


Very recently, LeLutka held an amazing fashion show, probably the best one I've ever seen in SL. One of the featured items was these amazing Saffron heels, though they weren't yet available in all of the gorgeous colours and combinations that they are now. I think this navy and tan combo is my favourite one, but there is so much to choose from it's hard to decide for sure.


Shiny Things hasn't released anything for awhile now (sadface, where are you Fallingwater?!), and these Belles were released at *last year's* Shoe Fair. I still love them to itty bitty pieces though, so they definitely get a ranking on my personal top five.


Every girl needs a classic pair of stilettos in their inventory, and these Maitreya Slinky Stilettos fit the bill perfectly for me. They're of course available in like a billionty colours, and they're just elegant and understated, but so well executed, it's a crime to not have them in your inventory.

Nardcotix for the New Year!

A couple of quick hits from Nardcotix today, hard to believe that this is my final post for 2009! Nardya Rousellot has just released a fantastic basic pump in 20 great shades and there is a special pre-release of the Nuria MaryJanes to accompany a great look from DCNY Clothing Co. too!

The Nuria MaryJanes (in Black & White) were sent to me for a peek weeks ago, and I had forgotten all about them until I was shooting some ads for DCNY, they were a perfect match with the new outfit so I contacted Nardya to release the preview pair at the DCNY Store today, to correspond with the release of the Madelene Outfit. Yay!



Also, responding to a special request from a customer, Nardya has released the Rebekah Pumps, a simple and perfect heel, in 20 gorgeous colors. You get both a colored heel and a black heeled version of the shoes in each pack, 2 pairs for the price of one, fantastic! You can find these goodies at the Nardcotix Main Store located here.

I have had to guard my Ashokas for a few days now. I was lucky enough to get an early peek at these gorgeous things over the weekend, and people were practically yanking them off my feet to get at them. Nardya has pretty much gift wrapped our feet for the holidays with these insanely yummy plaid pumps. Just look at the festive colors and that beautiful ruffle detail, I don't often use the F word, but I will for these... Fatpack. I know I could never decide between all the Nardcotix Ashoka T-Straps colors, I had to have them all!

Say It Isn't So!

The 2009 SL® Footwear Expo ends tonight and it has been an overwhelming success, and a tribute to all the amazing Animators, Footwear Designers, and Expo Committee members who have braved the chilly winter weather for the past two weeks to make it all happen. Never fear, if you haven't made the trip over to the shoe fair sims, there is still some time left to get your hands on all the beautiful exclusives and support Toys for Tots!

StyleCard: Double Dose of Nardcotix

Nardcotix has a number of releases planned for the Footwear Expo, here are two, the Cerra Booties and the Eva Slingbacks. Nardya Rousselot has certainly been busy getting these ready for us, she has a great sensibility for making the type of shoes I would happily wear in first life! The Cerra Booties for example are an ankle height boot in rich leather with the addition of studs and zippers to give them a bit of spirit. Ever practical Nardya offers up this boot with multiple wear options to accommodate pant legs, or spare an attachment point.


The Eva Slingback is a great retro shoe updated in several attractive snakeskin options. The shoe is set upon a stacked wood heel and buckles attractively at the ankle. The real charm of this otherwise classically styled shoe is the sculpted bow wrap of the toe, another really special must have sort of shoe that bares an exotic mix of texture and practical style!

StyleCard: NX Kurvy Pumps & T-Straps

Oh, how I love my Retro. The new Kurvy Pumps from Nardya Rousselot's Nardcotix, NX, instantly give off a super sexy retro vibe. In my favorite color, red, it's easy to see why. Satiny red shoes wrapped in black trim and bow accents that have a sweet rounded toe and a perfectly sculpted heel. Whether you favour the pump version or the more elaborate T-Strap Mary Janes, the Kurvy shoes are an instant classic!


I paired mine with the recent releases from Ingenue, the Secretary Skirt in Ebon and Stenno Blouse in Ruby. The Secretary skirt can be worn a number of ways, with or without the peplum attachments (there are 2 options), a fantastic high waisted pencil skirt. The Stenno Blouse is a perfect partner to the skirt, I love the sculpted cuffs that are perfectly shaped, and the pretty prim collar.

Red shoes are my weakness. Sexy, high heeled, strappy, satiny and embellished - who can deny the appeal of a great looking shoe in a color that yells 'look at me'? Nardya Rousselot is clearly a woman after my own heart, she recently sent me a collection of her brand new footwear in a yummy shade of crimson.
