Fergalicious Footwear

What is bright, patent and python, all at the same time? The new Fergie Python shoes from Mentine, that's what. The Fergie Python by Valentine Biddle, come in a rainbow of glossy bright patent leathers, with mix and match multi-tonal python straps, nice nail polish shades and more. A eye catching chunky heeled sandal with two or three python strap design, the straps come lined with a secondary softly colored shade that peeks out enough to be seen on closer inspection.

This casual and fun sandal will add a pop of color to low key outfits, or compliment brighter summer styles with a bit of flair. It's Mischa!

Here she is, that pretty new girl in town, or girls actually, because Mischa comes in pairs thanks to LeLutka. The new LeLutka Mischa Wedges are pretty well irresistible, those heavy wooden platform wedges in three unique wood types (all three options included with each pair), the strappy but sturdy upper shoe, with attractive colors of suede in solitary and collaged offerings. The really attractive way that Minnu Palen has embedded a satiny metallic insert into the soles makes for a very modern and striking look.

Equally modern and striking are the new MichaMi Vee Dresses, with sculpted shoulder pads these solo shade dresses have the look of strips of elasticized fabric sewn together in ways that flatter your feminine curves. In the Land of LeLutka

I was able to cash in a little overtime for a day trip to our second destination, the Island Nation of LeLutka, best known for its excellent take on all aspects of fashion... be it Skin, Hair, Clothing, Accessories... and because this IS about Shoe Fair... the Shoes. Passport stamped it was off for a stroll in these brand new and completely gorgeous K.I.A. Wedges. One of a number of very eye catching wedges to be found at the Fair, LeLutka does not disappoint with the realism and style of their latest release. I adore the softly brushed suede look, with an attractive incorporated wedge, that gives the appearance of a wrapped shoe with a cone shaped wooden heel. A giant wooden grommet adorns the upper, a real nod to current trends for interesting natural accents in accessories. Small details like the back zipper, lelutka signature label tag sewn between layers of suede, and slightly worn soles are a treat to the eyes for those of us that like to cam in close and appreciate authenticity.

The shoes themselves come in an array of luxurious shades, from muted neutrals to lush tropical inspired hues. While settling on a single pair is a hard task for the best of us, you can be assured that whatever you choose you will love wearing the K.I.A. shoes, even a very neutral tone like 'Retail' a sweet sandy beige (not shown) will work with a multitude of color choices. My personal fave, the completely irresistible 'Olive' (pictured), surprisingly green with a healthy undertone of teal, they have an almost iridescent feel... like jewelled insect wings. I couldn't take them off. The newly designed user HUD is a thing of beauty too, very simple design, very intuitive... well done! You won't regret visiting the LeLutka booth at the 2011 Shoe Fair, the buzz is well earned... and the shoes are fashionably fantastic.

This Is Love.

I believe in love. No matter how many times love chews you up and spits you out, I firmly believe that there is someone out there for everyone... maybe more than one, or in Second Life... at least a clean half dozen in the average SLifespan. So what does one do when they are faced with the possibility of Valentine's Day alone, or lonely, or both? You go back to what you love, and for me that is blogging shoes, and great fashion and beautiful skins. One of my first loves in SL were the Linda skins from PXL, and Mr. Hart Larsson, that talented and very charming fellow has won me over again with the stunning PXL Linda G3. There is something to be said about a man that can make a woman feel beautiful, and my first gift to myself today was this beautiful skin.

I also love rediscovering old favorite stores, and things that have been sitting in my 'to wear' folder for months and months. This past weekend I happened upon a small shop named CentoPallini, it was new to me and I instantly loved the Valentino Hat, which looks to be molded from dark chocolate and is festooned with bows, gems, more chocolate in a heart shaped box, and cupids arrow skewering the whole works. Easy peasy, gift number two for myself is settled upon. I dug the rest of my outfit out of my many folders of clothing, with a beautiful Veschi Jacket, Maitreya Bodysuit and accessories from Donna Flora. But you know me, and my outfit is never complete without something 'on my toes'.

It was really very hard for me to find something newish to blog, as I have been away for a little while and missed some great things, and it seems that there haven't been many new releases this week (I suspect most of my favorites are gearing up for the next Shoe Fair... more on that soon.) So I started TPing around for some inspiration... I found them at SLink, and yes they have been out for a while, but they are completely gorgeous and I never managed to grab a pair before today, gift number three for me, the beautiful Paloma Pointe Ballet Slippers. Now it seems I am ready to dance my way into the next unsuspecting heart, and I didn't have to wear loads of pink or bright red to do it.

Shoe Fair 2010: Kookie

More creative Shoe Fair finds from Kookie, whose shoes are unique and offer a wide variety of styles and shapes. I love the details on the Enya Power Boots, with their futuristic shape and buckle closures.

The Armarda Boots from Kookie have an earthy rustic thing going on, with or without the wool topper option the delicate laces and eyelets are a great touch. I loved the rich chocolate shade, if you can't eat it might as well wear it. Kookie Lemon makes some yummy stuff!

The Bonnie lace-up ankle boots have a surprising open toe design, and a lot of personality. The shape is easy to love, and the funky updated style is easy to wear with casual pants or dresses. Be sure and visit Kookie at the Shoe Fair 2010 to see some great styles.

Tripping Over My Shoelaces

Sometimes the simplest things are the best, like the simplicity of a great pair of sandals tied up with shoelaces, in great summer colors, that will inspire your trip to the shore. The recently released Shoelace Sandals from Sand Shack Surf Co. by Emma Gilmour are a perfect combination of casual and cute, they are just as comfy with a bikini as they are with more refined cruisewear. The added feature of color change laces on these will extend their wearability even more.

In any combination of my favorite shades of coral, teal and beige my looks to accompany these shoes were a win win situation, loving the new hats and bags from LeLutka, and great accessories from Earthstones. Pumped Up Primary

Back to basics for me, and what could be more basic than mix and match primary colors? You really can't go wrong when combining these shades, for casual denim fun, perky party looks and lazy weekend shopping trips. The objects of my affection for each of these styles are the newly released Pow Pumps from LeLutka. Minnu does it again, cute platform Maryjanes in three distinctly punchy variations.

The Pow Pumps come in a pop-art reminiscent Print version, a Neutral version that has great tone on tone color appeal, and a Two Tone pump with accent colors for the trim and platform base. Any way you look at these the result is pure deliciousness, applause on the well styled strap and buckle that does an awesome job of camouflaging that otherwise unattractive ankle dimple. Shoes With Spice

Zaara Kohime has released her first shoes, exotic and beautiful as anything else we would expect from the talented Zaara designer. The footwear, called Ilaida Mojri, are a traditional Indian style leather casual with beautiful detail and sensational color. The shoes come in spicy brights and satisfying neutrals, all with color accent options for the top portion of the shoe and choice of gold or silver metallic trim.

The Ilaida shoes represent something that is pretty rare in SL footwear today, a flat casual shoe with character that knocks many simple ballet flats out of the ballpark. These shoes will be comfortable with more traditional Indian looks, your favorite casual clothing, or to add a pop of delicious color to any summery dress.

La Sauvage

Back again... ready for some fun? The latest from Courtisane will definitely fit the bill. A chunky, funky, and fringed pump, full of the usual LeeZu character is the La Sauvage shoe. Each pair comes complete with a fringed or non-fringed version, and the wide range of colors make them a wild fashion option for a special look. I went all out with my choice of the Beyonce (Telephone 2) from Diram, and the very gorgeous LOLA skin from LeLutka in the Dark tone.

Gifts & Tributes

Just a quick post to share some new favorite things today. I logged in to find an invitation to visit Heros of Fashion a small exhibition of some incredible fashion tributes, including some inspired by Lee Alexander McQueen, whose recent passing has touched many in the fashion world. Megg Demina of Chapeau tres Mignon, has assembled some amazing hats, boots and accessories with proceeds from most purchases benefiting The City and East London Bereavement Service. I am wearing the McQueen Rose Boots and the Philip Treacy Flower Hat. The exhibit is really interesting and worth checking out.

LeLutka treated it's group members to yet another gifty today, this is seriously a group worth being in, no enrollment charge and wonderfully made gifts are frequent. I am wearing one of the two items, the Jest Away Leggings. I am also wearing the I'm a Romantic hair from lamb! and the shirt and vest from DCNY's Madelene outfit.

Boots With Belts

This outfit makes me feel like I have raided the wardrobe trailer for the movie Clueless, and I love it! Kalnins Digna Ankle Boots made it easy to customize my look with their color change parts and metals, another great pair from Kalnins.

The little Chanel inspired tweed suit, features some terrifically cute shorts, it is by BENI (you can find an olive version of the Jacket for 1L$ at the store). The white shirt is borrowed from the Madelene White Outfit from DCNY, and the great black belt is by COCO. The gorgeous skin is by LeLutka, it is their latest release, IFE, this particular one is being sold as a fundraiser for RED CROSS, I love those pouty lips to death!

Finishing touches like the Ruffled Purse from Tres Blah and socks by Maitreya, are complimented by the gold Makuti earrings from UZURI (new release!) and Crown Necklace by Ume Mode. More hair I don't want to take off from Tukinowaguma, big hair, pretty curls, I dont ususally gravitate towards this type of style, but i just love this one.

A Week of Top-Fives: Day Four, Heels

Heeeeeeeels! I love them (in SL :P) and there are so many freakin' amazing ones here, it was a sonofabitch choosing just five pairs!


Maitreya came out with their gold label this summer, I think. I wasn't around so I may be a bit off, but I'm pretty sure that's when they debuted. Anyhow, these Shanti heels are just amazing. They were one of my first purchases when I came back, and of course I had to buy the fatpack. It was a must. One of my favourite features of buying from the gold label is the fact that included is a notecard of common skin creators, and the numbers you need to have to match your foot tone to your skin. For the tonally challenged people like me, this is fantastic.

Nardcotix released these Ashoka plaid heels not too long ago, and they go very well with Phoenix Rising's Motive outfit, as the plaid matches the plaid in the corset. The ruffle is fantastic!


Very recently, LeLutka held an amazing fashion show, probably the best one I've ever seen in SL. One of the featured items was these amazing Saffron heels, though they weren't yet available in all of the gorgeous colours and combinations that they are now. I think this navy and tan combo is my favourite one, but there is so much to choose from it's hard to decide for sure.


Shiny Things hasn't released anything for awhile now (sadface, where are you Fallingwater?!), and these Belles were released at *last year's* Shoe Fair. I still love them to itty bitty pieces though, so they definitely get a ranking on my personal top five.


Every girl needs a classic pair of stilettos in their inventory, and these Maitreya Slinky Stilettos fit the bill perfectly for me. They're of course available in like a billionty colours, and they're just elegant and understated, but so well executed, it's a crime to not have them in your inventory.

Some LeLutka and Designers United

Today LeLutka designer, Minnu Palen, sent over the updated footwear collections first seen on the LeLutka ULTRA Runway. The Saffron Pumps and the Shavon Ankle Boots have both been seen on this blog before, but now I have the full range of colors to play with, and there are just so many, particularly in the Saffrons, that I could never really show them all... you will need to go see these for yourself.


The Saffron Pumps are those super tall stilettos with the built in platform for an extra high punch. They come in an amazing number of colors you will have a very hard time choosing between; Neutrals, Soft Colors, Two-toned and Electric brights. I even mixed and matched my brights to suit the amazing Dada Aurelia leggings from the set available for a limited time from Designers United.


Designers United was really the fashion source for much of what you see in this post, the colors and quality seemed to pair so well with this footwear. The corset of the incredible Veschi creation, Veschi-ville by Alla Ruff, pairs perfectly with the two-toned Saffrons in Terracotta and Brown. Moving on to the Shavon boots, I simply could not resist this fabulousness from Runo Runo, '5 Minutes to Curtain', and the Pearl leather boots seemed a great match.


Finally, my long romance with corsets emerged and I grabbed up this beautiful 'Dancer by Day' Dress from Twosome. Instead of the long bustled skirt it came with, I chose the ruffled pantalettes that are meant to be worn under the Vaudeville Dress by Oyakin, to go with the amazing Olive shade of the ankle boots.

An Ultra Post

Ok, So... I was extremely excited to be part of the LeLutka ULTRA runway show yesterday, not only was it a top notch presentation of the more avant garde side of SL fashion, it was also a chance to walk the runway in another great MAD Agency production. The design team behind LeLutka created some incredible pieces, some are not as suited for everyday life or SLife as others, but the quality of the individual components is magnificent, and I challenged myself to mix and match items from the collection, and naturally, the new footwear, to create some more accessible looks, still high fashion, but not out of reach for the average fashionista.

This is just an early look at the new footwear that will be released soon in multiple colors and combinations, the 2 styles show here are the Saffron Pumps, a sky high über stiletto with a combined platform sole, and the Shavon Boots, a short boot with layers of shape, straps and metal buckles. These items are well suited to the runway, but are equally happy paired with dresses, gowns and casuals with a more mainstream appeal.

All the clothing, skins and accessories shown are from the new collection by LeLutka, with the exception of the dark brown hairstyles with can be found at booN, the Blue Eyes from MADesigns, and the pair of opera gloves, credit to COCO. Now, obviously, the term 'Real Life' is used loosely, we all know that SL is not RL, and in case you hadn't noticed I am not wearing my typical shape, but one specifically for the LeLutka ULTRA production. Items from the collection and the new footwear should be available soon at LeLutka.

StyleCard: LeLutka Chloe Ankle Boots

Minnu Palen's recent footwear release, the Chloe Ankle Boot, is one of my favorite ankle boots so far this season. Simply put, I have always been a sucker for detail, and with every release from the LeLutka collection I see more and more of the eye catching detail and sense of style that a shoe lover finds hard to resist. The boots are great high heeled ankle booties, that combine rhinestone trim and even a teeny LeLutka zipper pull, to make them all sorts of fantastic. Look for these at LeLutka in multiple colors including solids and delicious tone on tone brights.

StyleCard: LeLutka St.Tropez & Teese

Another collection released over at LeLutka, in case you managed to escape the news. Teaser images have flooded the feeds for a few days now and with the release yesterday even more... but what I always look for, naturally, is the footwear. This time around 2 Styles, one each from Minnu Palen and Thora Charron.


The St. Tropez Shoes are certainly summer vacation friendly with perfectly painted toes and a sweet heel strap, great colors and combinations. A HUD system is delivered by touching your shoes and it includes skin presets and custom shade selection.

The Teese Shoes come in 2 different fabrications, some of the shoes have a black chunk soul , while others are more suited to strolling on the boardwalk with their pale wooden platforms. These have a funky fashionable feel, but a lovely smooth texture that is really appealing.


All told there are tons of color choices here and plenty of exciting mix and match with the garments of the new collection. Pretty short dresses, pantsuits and sexy little bikinis. An amazing collection to be sure, and I recommend you visit LeLutka for some shoe demos and to shop the latest releases. Be warned, it is very hard not to buy it all!
