Zip Up Your Kalnins

Nice to see a new release from Kalnins, the shoes are as always well crafted, with color changeable individual parts and 2 metal choices. The latest, these strapped up Yolanda heels, are a nice summer shoe that will look great with your edgier favorites. My only bone to pick with Kalnins is the lack of texture/detail on the actual foot, but in the case of the Yolanda shoe vey little of the main part of the foot shows through, it is only more visible around the toes.


To enjoy some fresh color I decided to wear this super hot sculpted biker vest from Indyra Originals. The Bon Charme Vest has some great over the top metal trims and you can select gold or silver accents in every one of the available shades, and there are many to choose from. My other color hit comes from the awesome Stella Clutch from ORTA, I am rarely a fat-packer when I shop but these clutches came in so many yummy colors I just had to get them all.

Last Of Winter

So this will be my last official Winter-ish boot post for the season, after this one it's on to strappy sandals, sexy colorful platforms, you name it, just no more thermal cozy snow boots. But I saved a great one for the last one, Kalnins SnowDrift Boots, these are super cute comfy suede boots with a great ribbon accent. As expected, Kalnins once again allows you to custom color and easily size your boots, I did find these a bit on the teeny side so I sized them up a fair bit so as not to look like a giraffe wearing mouse shoes, if you get my meaning. I completely adore the way these color coordinated with my amazing new accessories from Earthstones, yes these are available at clothing fair, New York Sim.

Boots With Belts

This outfit makes me feel like I have raided the wardrobe trailer for the movie Clueless, and I love it! Kalnins Digna Ankle Boots made it easy to customize my look with their color change parts and metals, another great pair from Kalnins.

The little Chanel inspired tweed suit, features some terrifically cute shorts, it is by BENI (you can find an olive version of the Jacket for 1L$ at the store). The white shirt is borrowed from the Madelene White Outfit from DCNY, and the great black belt is by COCO. The gorgeous skin is by LeLutka, it is their latest release, IFE, this particular one is being sold as a fundraiser for RED CROSS, I love those pouty lips to death!

Finishing touches like the Ruffled Purse from Tres Blah and socks by Maitreya, are complimented by the gold Makuti earrings from UZURI (new release!) and Crown Necklace by Ume Mode. More hair I don't want to take off from Tukinowaguma, big hair, pretty curls, I dont ususally gravitate towards this type of style, but i just love this one.

StyleCard: Kalnins Shoes Boudoir

Another great shoe from Maris Kanto of Kalnins Shoes. The Boudoir Shoes are a great crossover between a bootie and an open toed pump, they feature a zipper closure and contrast sole. Besides the realistic texturing the Boudoir is customizable including three parts of the shoe, metal color, skin tone and nail color. My only minor issue with the shoe is the nail color options, which are matte colors, the addition of shine is an option, but the shininess almost obscures the color of the nail, so it is flat color or high shine, and I might prefer something in between like a nail texture with a baked shine finish. The shoes are at a very friendly price point for the options included, so they are well worth grabbing.

StyleCard: Kalnins More for Men

Take two for Kalnins Footwear for men, stepping away from sneakers for some laced up classics and amazing leather textures. Maris Kanto has created quite a few great looking styles for men and women, the Milestone and Florenza live up to that standard easily.


The versatility of these shoes starts with the ability to change color to any of the eleven shades included, additional customization in the form of fitting, glow, and shine, extend the life of this footwear from dressed up casual to more formal dressing. Yee Haw! I was handed the most adorable short western boots today, the Promenade Boots, the latest from Maris Kanto of Kalnins. Released today, the Promenade boots are one stop shopping for cute fall boots with western flair, one of the 'it' looks for fall. The Promenade have the perfect drop down menu for color change, this include 11 leather shades and 2 metal options - really ideal - and easy to use. They use 2 attach points, one invisi prim and one the boot itself, these will work well with leggings and long prairie skirts, and not with pants that rely on prim cuffs.

StyleCard: Kalnins Conqueror

Okay people, slow it down a sec... there is such thing as too much of a good thing, I think. All kidding aside it has been a whirlwind of fantastic shoe releases the past couple of days, and I am happy to announce Kalnins Shoes has thrown it's hat into the ring with it's latest, the Conqueror heels.

As with it's previous releases, the Kalnins shoe is amazingly well made and priced, with the ability to color change and customize to match almost any look you can imagine the versatility of this fun looking heeled sandal. I love the metal rivets on the criss-crossing straps and the open ankle/avatar join point which is practically seamless when worn. Another hot shoe!

StyleCard: Kalnins Morning Dew

Another great shoe from Kalnins, Morning Dew, a great looking cork soled wedge with layered leather straps and metal details. As with the last release, the Kalnins shoe HUD is about the easiest thing to use yet, you can change separate parts of the shoe to match your outfits, and skin change has a very easy to work visual system.

The dress a new item from COCO, part of the Gion Collection Show that I was fortunate to attend on Saturday evening, could not be sexier with it's perfect prim top and derriere cleavage baring back. To complete this tropical evening look I opted for the beautiful new Leah hair from TRUTH, earrings from Creamshop, and bracelet by ICON.

StyleCard: Kalnins Empress

The recently released Empress shoes from Kalnins are impressive. On the heels (pun intended) of the Coquette shoes, Maris Kanto has released the Empress, improving them in so many ways it is hard to believe that these are really only his second women's shoe released. Gone is the need to wear a size 11 foot as the basis for the shoes, but also the prim feet have arrived allowing for more versatility and sex appeal. The HUD that Maris created might just be the easiest one I have encountered to date, and there is a very simple system that allows you to individually re-color parts of the shoes; buckles, straps, sole, body, accent, and nail polish can all be selected from a palate to match anything you can imagine!

A New Coquette

Kalnins is known for making top class specs and more recently stylish men's footwear, it was brought to my attention yesterday that they have just release their first women's shoe, so I made the trip and was pleasantly surprised by the Coquette Sandals. One of the greatest things you can offer your customer is customization, the scripted footwear (while not loved by everyone) allows you to match your outfit with seemingly limitless color options, the base, straps and buckles are all controlled by control menu, and the unique ability to make these shiny or flat... can extend the options a bit further.


Maris Kanto has created some beautiful looking footwear here. I adore the almost touchable leather and the way it appears to gather at the connection points. My only foible here, and my own fault for not reading the info, was that these are recommended for size 11 feet, if your shape is no mod you may be out of luck, but a quick edit appearance to resize the foot will allow you to enjoy a much better fit. Also notable is the price point, at 500L$ these are a great value, and Maris tells me that Kalnins Gold Card Members get them for only 250L$. I look forward to seeing more from Kalnins Women's Line soon!
