StyleCard: Kalnins More for Men

Take two for Kalnins Footwear for men, stepping away from sneakers for some laced up classics and amazing leather textures. Maris Kanto has created quite a few great looking styles for men and women, the Milestone and Florenza live up to that standard easily.


The versatility of these shoes starts with the ability to change color to any of the eleven shades included, additional customization in the form of fitting, glow, and shine, extend the life of this footwear from dressed up casual to more formal dressing. The Milestone shoes feature a richly textured leather and suede combination, with a metal loop at the bottom of the laces that can be changed between silver, gold and black. The Florenza is reminiscent of finely tooled Italian leather, with built in shine, another great pair.

StyleCard: Kalnins Casuals

This is part one of two posts on some great men's footwear from Kalnins. Maris Kanto sent an assortment of styles over to help balance out the male/female ratio on 'On Your Toes'. Once again Dave Casanova 'steps' in to help out in showing off the goods. Thanks Mister!


Taking a closer look at the sneaker styles from Kalnins, both the Dinamika and the Braxterz come equipped with multiple color options. Besides the eleven preset color combinations, that come with every pair, are additional customization tools that allow you to select and color different parts of the shoe, making these a very versatile option for men that prefer to rely on only one or two pairs of shoes in their inventory.The footwear comes with multiple other options to control size, shine, and glow aspects.

StyleCard: JCS... For The Boys

I have always tried to share a wide range of footwear on the blog, different styles, creators and collaborations, but what tends to be missing is shoes for the male avatar. They are out there, and some of them are really well made, but it's a bit hard to blog men's footwear when you are definitely not a male. Eponymous Trenchmouth of Jeepers Creepers Shoes (JCS) inquired if I would be able to review his latest releases, and I was happy to oblige, with the help of a very accommodating Dave Casanova... thank you, Dave!


These 2 new styles are great Casual shoes, the Miami Shoes and the Kix Shoes are a lace up style with a hint of an oxford feel and some athletic shoe inspired stripe detail. On the Miami the tan leather contrasts with the softly colored canvas that comes in soft 'Miami Vice' pastels; Peach, Blue, Cream and Sage.Golden grommets and white laces complete the style. The Kix Shoes feature richer tone-on-tone styling in shades of Green, Red, Black and Blue with color matched laces and soles.

StyleCard: UBU PornStar Lo-Tops

Continuing on my quest to free myself from sculpted feet and toes, and enjoy the more relaxed looks of Summer, I happily stumbled upon the most recent from Urban Bomb Unit's Coke Dreadlow. The PornStar Lo-Tops are a unisex style, so yay! for the boys, these things come packed with the easiest customization HUD for a shoe of it's type. Great styles that range from tattoo art to camo, and rainbows to pink argyle, a little bit of something for every Lo-Top lover.


More great denim and tank tops from Maitreya, and a great sculpted cardigan from COCO, round out relaxed daytime look. Great Hair twisted up and out of the way and a few simple accessories from Armidi are all I needed.

StyleCard: SOREAL

Time to welcome a new face to 'On Your Toes'. Volcom Praga, KMADD Stylist, will be appearing from time to time to help us cover what's new and fashionable in men's footwear for our little blog. No time like the present, and SOREAL's much awaited follow up to the City Steps was a perfect opportunity to get this guy to show off some amazing footwear. The new Superstars are a great classic 3 stripe sneaker, with hyper realistic details from perforations to worn leather effects, and front to back perfect styling. (click image to enlarge.)

Volcom's casual look consists of some Aitui pants, a fun 'Rock is Dead' Tee from Gutta, Kari's Crate Digger shoulder bag and oversized sunglasses from VintageWear (VG Republic). Some great tattoos and new hair from MUISM help add up to a great look.

Knock me dead there are new shoes (and clothes) at Redgrave!!

So after a chat with Davey from Homme mag he informs me there was new shoes at Redgrave (things only ever get released there after I don't go there for all of 2 days, I need a subscibe-o-matic group thing to there so I won't miss anything in future) so I stumble down there to check it out, and my god, he was right!



There was a heap of new clothes and I swear that it was Emilia Redgrave's goal to separate the men of SL from their lindens. Anyway, I went a little crazy and got some new clothes to go along with these new shoes. Look at the results of this little moment of indulgence in the following article.

First up was the STRAP Loafer's which I totally loved. These loafers are accentuated with prim laces and by 2 straps that go over the shoe, and have have some of the most highly detailed textures I have seen on shoes in SL as if we all expect anything less than this from Redgrave. She sets the standard with her textures and these shoes are no exception. I coupled the black pair of these with the new Redgrave ELEGANCE Suit in Black and they perfectly complimented each other as can be seen below. This suit would have to be my new favorite inventory item (as you all know I am a suit whore) and it is amazing, just everything about it I totally love. This 20 piece (yes that is right 20 pieces!) has so many options and combinations you will be able to wear it for weeks on end without your friends even knowing you had clicked out of that folder. It also comes with a black prim foulard, prim watch, 2 lengths of tie, and 2 sets of prim cuffs (shirt cuffs and suit cuffs). This suit sets the new standard in my eyes, as everything about it screams Elegance.

Next pair I tried on was the STRAP Loafers -Sands- which are in a neutral sandy colour, and to compliment these I decided upon the new Redgrave Jeans Dirty No.1 -Dirty- as the neutral tonality of the shoe is highlighted by the dark appearance of the jeans. Once again, I think this combo topped off with Redgrave's Rolled up Sleeve in dark sand sweater or Smoke with Shirt would make an awesome casual combination all achieved with the luxury of shopping in only one store!

The next style of new shoe was the Casual Loafer , the black pair of which I again coupled with the ELEGANCE suit. I have to say the shading details and texturing on all these shoes is amazing and I am sure you will be seeing me wearing them in-world alot in future.

For the Dark Brown Casual Loafer I pulled out my Redgrave Striped PANTS Brown I had in inventory and these shoes complimented these pants perfectly.



Overall I must say I love all the new (and old stuff) available at Redgrave, and Emilia still retains her spot at the top of my list of favorite designers. Her absence has been missed but lets hope this isn't the end, as SL wouldn't be the same without designers such as her who push the limits as to what can be achieved. The following few pics are these shoes coupled with a couple of other new items I picked up to give you a taste of the new items available at Redgrave. I have to conclude by saying I love all this stuff! Woot wooot!!
