Gimme Color!

Couldn't you just die and go to heaven? Maybe just your feet. COCO does it again, quenching my thirst for Louboutin yumminess in SL. These irresistible Multicolored Sandals are just the latest to catch my eye, and how could they not? Metallic bands wrap the foot and balance on top of a platform base, gorgeous colored patterns wrap the base and heel, and a signature red sole finishes off this riot of bright color. Something about the winter blues, they make me want shoes like this, a whole bunch.

Get your fashion fix over at COCO.

Boots With Belts

This outfit makes me feel like I have raided the wardrobe trailer for the movie Clueless, and I love it! Kalnins Digna Ankle Boots made it easy to customize my look with their color change parts and metals, another great pair from Kalnins.

The little Chanel inspired tweed suit, features some terrifically cute shorts, it is by BENI (you can find an olive version of the Jacket for 1L$ at the store). The white shirt is borrowed from the Madelene White Outfit from DCNY, and the great black belt is by COCO. The gorgeous skin is by LeLutka, it is their latest release, IFE, this particular one is being sold as a fundraiser for RED CROSS, I love those pouty lips to death!

Finishing touches like the Ruffled Purse from Tres Blah and socks by Maitreya, are complimented by the gold Makuti earrings from UZURI (new release!) and Crown Necklace by Ume Mode. More hair I don't want to take off from Tukinowaguma, big hair, pretty curls, I dont ususally gravitate towards this type of style, but i just love this one.

You can find the Kalnins Digna Booties here.
NOTE: BENI SLurl has been updated, sorry for the error!

StyleCard: COCO Backless Ankle Boots

So, I wanted these hot little Christian Louboutin boots for Christmas, and COCO sent them a few weeks early! The Backless Ankle Boots from Cocoro Lemon are just as yummy as their real life inspiration, and definitely worth having in Zebra, Leopard, or Black. There still seems to be some dramatics in the Second Life blogging community, attacking certain designers for replicating real life styles or photo sourcing garments, while others who are doing the same thing are overlooked or applauded for their innovation.

I am here to tell you that most, if not all, of the top footwear designers have taken heavy inspiration from the best, and it doesn't take long to find them all over google images, if you try looking. Do I have a problem with this practise? Absolutely not. Do I like being able to wear a Louboutin or Gucci look-a-like shoe in SL, one I could never afford or comfortably wear in RL? Yes I do.

I have covered the issue before, and maybe it is time to do another little show and tell with the pictures I have been collecting, until then let us try and remember... very few of the content creators of second life are actually just creating replicas of items they themselves design or hold copyright to in first life. Most designers in second life came here with a desire to make things that people would enjoy owning, and more often than not they had to learn a new skill set to do it... making sculpties, texturing, and prim construction. Even when a design resembles a real world creation, we can still appreciate what it takes to bring it to fruition in a virtual world.

This Christmas, even if your RL purse strings can't accommodate everything on your wish list, make your footwear fantasies come true, even if it is only in SL.

StyleCard: Kalnins Morning Dew

Another great shoe from Kalnins, Morning Dew, a great looking cork soled wedge with layered leather straps and metal details. As with the last release, the Kalnins shoe HUD is about the easiest thing to use yet, you can change separate parts of the shoe to match your outfits, and skin change has a very easy to work visual system.

The dress a new item from COCO, part of the Gion Collection Show that I was fortunate to attend on Saturday evening, could not be sexier with it's perfect prim top and derriere cleavage baring back. To complete this tropical evening look I opted for the beautiful new Leah hair from TRUTH, earrings from Creamshop, and bracelet by ICON.

The Stuff;

Shoes - Kalnins Footwear - Morning Dew

Skin - Gala Phoenix, JUNE Sundust (Frex)

Hair - TRUTH - Leah, Caramel

The Sexy Spangle

COCO knocked my socks off with it's latest release, the Spangles Stiletto Heel. This sexy new shoe features a sculpted foot and toes on a sexy high leather sole with spangled toe strap, banded elastic ankle wraps, and my favorite detail, a laced up back. The Spangle Stilettos come in 3 variations - gold, silver and black toe straps - black is shown here. But at 300L$ per pair you could afford to make more than one choice.

On the plus side there is only one shoe attachment point here, making these a viable option if you like wearing a cuffed capri and don't want to give up your cuffs. Shoes are not resizable, but they come in 2 sizes and I strongly recommend you try the demo to make sure you will be happy with the fit. Color change is not difficult, it uses the same RGB and brightness button adjustments as we have seen before - but - each shoe is controlled separately, meaning it is possible that you can end up with feet of slightly different shades, or take notes of your clicks so you can duplicate on to the other.

I went for more dark and sexy with the newly released Galizie dress from The Plastik, it's cut outs and leg garter seemed to compliment the shoes well. Hair is sexy, mussed and shorter - another great style from DETOUR. Shopping Details Listed Below.

The Stuff;

Shoes - COCO Spangles Stiletto Heels - Black

Skin - Gala Phoenix JUNE Sundust (Frex)

Hair - DETOUR Flux - Brown Mix

Dress - The Plastik - Galizie Dress, Hearts

Accessories - LeLutka - Grace Earrings & Pendant (Group Gift)

Wired Up with SLink

I got these Caged Platforms sent to me this morning, yet another foot-in-shoe release from SLink. The truly unique offering from Siddean Munro looks like a modern art piece, with it's wire cage heel and lattice that extends from the top of the foot to the ankle. The ample platform base and tied leather ankle wrap are color changeable, as are the metals which can be set to your preferred finish. No salon visit is necessary to change the color or your pedicure, and painted details, therewas also not too much difficulty matching my skin tone, though hand entering the RGB gave me an unusual result, I eventually sorted it out with the color palate method and was happy with the look of the skin tone on the prim foot.

For the remainder of my sexy Saturday look I relied on COCO's new coverall zip-suit called 'Combinaison', which comes with black and white tube top options for underneath, but I wore mine over a bikini from SNOC which I picked up at the clothing fair. A few accessories and I was all set to step out in these sexy shoes.

Look for the Caged Platforms at SLink.

The Stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin, TRUTH Hair, COCO Coverall Suit, SNOC Bikini, SLink Footwear, Earrings by Creamshop, Bangles by DeLa.

COCO-licious!

Short and sweet. COCO has released these adorable loafer mules, a style I love and own a few pairs quite similar to in first life. They come in multiple colors, but I was most drawn to this sweet pink pair. This is just the kind of casual outfit I love, the Ankle Pants in Nougat, also from COCO are a slim leg pant with small cuff, they come with a matching belt that has a leather-like texture and two oversized pouch pockets. My tee was a must have item from Toastface, gotta love cupcakes! The hair is DejaVu, the Sista style which is cute and fun, with the finishing touch is the adorable Cuppy Cake Bracelet and Necklace from Violet Voltaire. All poses used are from relative newcomer Rogan Diesel at Diesel Works who is doing some great things, I can't wait to see more!

Visit COCO for a serving of these sweet soles!

Klondyke Trio

I got an offline just yesterday from a reader who was looking for a fur boot that wasn't a platform 'stripper heel', just a nice moccasin footed boot with a furry upper. Just moments after reading that message I dropped into Kitties Lair to see what was new, and saw these Klondyke Boots. Available in Black, Pink and White, the boots have the lovely comfy flat foot with stitched texturing, an ample amount of 'fur' and a nicely detailed topper that features a pair of fur poms attached to a string. This frisky little boot reminds me of winter getaways and ski lodges, they have an adorably casual vibe.

Worn with the boots are the COCO Black Knit Stole, Muism Jeans (naturally), A white tank from LaLa FooFoo, and this adorable knit shrug about to be released by Glam Couture. Special mention for the furry ear muffs from BOOM that seem to be the perfect touch! Just a feel good look to go with these super sweet boots.

Visit Kitties Lair in it's new location.

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, TRUTH Hair, Jeans from Muism, Tank Top by LaLa FooFoo, Shrug from Glam Couture, Knit Stole (Scarf) from COCO, Earmuffs by BOOM.

StyleCard: COCO

Occasionally I do bonehead things, like the time I messaged COCO Creator Cocoro Lemon to inform her that there was a problem with her sculpties... only to discover the problem was because I had not yet updated my SL viewer. But as soon as I did, I was very impressed by the quality of her work, amazing little ski vests and dresses, I am really a big fan. When I saw the update indicating a footwear release, well, you know I had to run right over and grab a pair of COCO's Suede Booties in blue and the adorable BritGirl Yellow Plaid Suit I had been eyeing for a while.

The Booties are very well crafted and textured, lovely rich suede, and they come in a nice range of equally inviting shades. Nice rounded toes and an over sized buckle on the ankle, I really liked the pop of contrast piping on the edges for extra style. The suit itself can be worn all together as I have done here, or the layers can be worn separately. The prim collar and roll cuffs are, again, very nicely crafted. I added the just released hat/hair from Muism and the Saphyre Gem Ring (not visible) from Paper Couture for a little bit of sparkle.

Check out COCO, you won't regret it!
