Valentines From The Lair

Back again, sorry for keeping you waiting so long. A double shot of shoe love from Kitties Lair today. Babette Ultsch makes me super happy with her pretty shoes, I stalk her main store often to see what's new and got very lucky with these fantastic styles. These will be perfect for a Valentine's date or to give yourself a little valentine.

Don't miss the Alisa Pumps in many colors, textures and prints. What makes these special is the contrast metal heels, in silver or gold (or the color of the pump itself), and the strap across the toe that can also be customized. It seems like it has been forever since I found a pump this delicious. I highly recommend these.

The Nadia Sandals are a great foot-in-shoe option, definitely sexy with their platform base, and ankle strap. The Kitties Lair foot is really well done and fairly easy to custom match to your skin, loads of great nail color options and metal choice included. I really love the delicate pearl colored ones.

Put both Nadia and Alisa on your shopping list and visit Kitties Lair soon!

The Stuff;

Look 2 - LeLutka IFE Skin, booN Hair (2 pcs.), R.icielli Shiny Bra, Fab Pony Shorts, BENI Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings.

StyleCard: Kitties Lair Gina

I just love the footwear that Babette Ultsch creates, her style is a bit more tart-ish than most of the creators on the grid, but the quality is amazing and she always comes up with something fun for us shoe fans. Babette's latest release are the Kitties Lair Gina Heels, her very first foot and toes in a shoe creation. The sole is a platform of mirror like chrome, and the uppers are available in both patents and metallic snakeskin, the heel strap is accented with a silver heart shaped buckle. The fit on these was just perfect, and the skin tone was easily matched using a drop down menu that contains basic presets and custom control for perfect match. The shoe is equipped with 11 nail polish shades. Overall I have to say that I am a fan, these are fun and attractive and will work with a variety of styles.

StyleCard: Kitties Lair Fran Wedge

The latest from Kitties Lair are a refreshingly casual wooden soled clog called the Fran Wedge. The Wedge comes in a variety of shades and 3 separate motifs; Plain, Floral and Tribal. The texturing is great with nice added details like the nail heads and rubber bottoms. These are a great looking shoe, and a sure sign that spring is on it's way.

It's All About Options

If any of you have ever tried to wear a boot with a cuffed denim capri you have likely discovered the age old attachment limitation for the lower leg, finally it seems that the very clever Babette Ultsch of Kitties Lair has come up with a pretty great solution with her latest release. Babette has previously released a great assortment of retro platform pumps and mules, and some really great boots, the Florence Boots offer a multitude of options to the wearer, in particular a denim cuff topper attached to the boot upper. The boot also comes with 2 boot heights, with both the traditional top and the cuffed top a click away, so basically 4 boots in one - and easy to adjust the size with the menu accessed via clicking the right foot portion of the boot.

The Florence Boot comes in an assortment of shades and finishes, including Phython, Urban Leo, Velvet Black, Stellar Black, Pearl White, Chili Red, Dark Brown, Gold Sequined, and Silver Sequined. The boots themselves have an attractive and sexy shape and nice details and are in fact and update to the previous Florence Boot with improved sculpties and easier fit, in addition to the denim cuff topper. The cuff is only in the single shade of blue denim, but they seemed to work very well with most denim in my collection. Boots are sold singly by color or in three pair fatpacks for best value.

To complete my rolled denim look I chose the denim jumpsuit from Armidi, a skinny scarf from Maitreya, a Silver Jacket from Little Rebel, Black Wooden Bangles from M.R.M., UZURI Ebony Drops Earrings, and more Junwave cute as heck hair.

Klondyke Trio

I got an offline just yesterday from a reader who was looking for a fur boot that wasn't a platform 'stripper heel', just a nice moccasin footed boot with a furry upper. Just moments after reading that message I dropped into Kitties Lair to see what was new, and saw these Klondyke Boots. Available in Black, Pink and White, the boots have the lovely comfy flat foot with stitched texturing, an ample amount of 'fur' and a nicely detailed topper that features a pair of fur poms attached to a string. This frisky little boot reminds me of winter getaways and ski lodges, they have an adorably casual vibe.

Worn with the boots are the COCO Black Knit Stole, Muism Jeans (naturally), A white tank from LaLa FooFoo, and this adorable knit shrug about to be released by Glam Couture. Special mention for the furry ear muffs from BOOM that seem to be the perfect touch! Just a feel good look to go with these super sweet boots.

Visit Kitties Lair in it's new location.

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, TRUTH Hair, Jeans from Muism, Tank Top by LaLa FooFoo, Shrug from Glam Couture, Knit Stole (Scarf) from COCO, Earmuffs by BOOM.

StyleCard: Kitties Lair London Boots

It was an amazing and busy weekend, but I did manage to sneak in a little bit of shopping. One of my stops was to Kitties Lair where I often find great footwear, sure enough a new release from the lovely Babette Ultsch, the London Boots. The London Boots are a pumped up ankle boot with a great rolled down cuff that features and inside zip and an outside row of buttons, all balancing on the skinniest of stilettos. I also like the look of the silver tipped toe. They come in all the basic shades, and some nice fabrications; leather, patent & textile, so it's possible to find something to suit your tastes.

My other big find of the weekend was shoparmidi.com, which had some great new Armidi goodies not available in the store. My top fave was the Polo Dress, this one in Black and Grey Argyle... very easy to wear and great prim work. The belt from the Lulu set by MichaMi seemed to fit well and the woolen tights from Persona added warmth. I added bracelets, the stacked bangles from Caroline's and my new favorite little accessory shop U&R Dogs Dorothy Bracelet.

Check out Kitties Lair for these great looking boots.

Out of Africa

There seems to have been a small dry spell in the shoe making world lately, perhaps all those content creators are busy preparing for the upcoming 2008 SL Footwear Expo, now less than a month away. In any case, I decided to go on a bit of a Safari and seek out some hot new shoes for the readers of 'On Your Toes'. My trusty (and rather sexy) guide Caelen Mata, escorted me to Africa to help bring you the Anita Ankle Strap High Heels from Kitties Lair.

Babette Ultsch delivers her usual high quality, sexy styling and multiple color options for Anita. I am nuts about the oversized buckle and retro flair of this shoe. Metal accents are available in gold or silver. The shoe comes with a bling on/off option, so if you must bling you can get that sorted out. As for me, I marched all over Africa in these and found that they weathered the heat and sand extremely well!

Caelen has offered to show me where the really wild animals are at, so I have to run... but please visit Kitties Lair and get some hot shoes soon!

Also wearing; PXL Skin, Shop Seu Hair, Kungler's Dress (and Necklace), Bangles by Armidi Gisaci. On Caelen; PXL Skin, Dernier Cri Hair, Men's Safari Outfit by Blaze, Maitreya Desert Boots, Accessories by M.R.M. FACTORY.

Twice as Nice

Tangerine dreams and leopard printed maryjanes were the perfect way to start my weekend. A stop into Kitties Lair netted me quite a thrill as I quickly discovered Babette Ultsch had recently released 2 new styles. Previously we have reviewed her Peep Toed Pumps and Venice Boots... these are just another example of what she does so well - cute sexy shoes, perfectly textured.

These Francine Mary-Janes are yummy, I love the amazing chunk heel and the beautiful shine textures as only Babette can do, but I am a sucker for animal prints and the leopard are just so great - I adore the little ties with metal accents at the ends. A nice escape from the typical buckled maryjanes.

The Peep Toed Mules Kewt! as she calls them certainly are that, nice moderate platform mules with metallic soles in gold and silver - the creamsicle colored orange where my must have... but they are all pretty fantastic as you can see in the store display shot below.

Add Kitties Lair to your weekend shopping list, demos in store - grab some!

Also wearing; with Francine - PXL Skin, Detour Hair, Armidi Jeans, /artilleri/ Tank, Bag by Celestial Studios, Bracelets byArmidi, Necklace by Earthtones, Earrings by Diamonde. with Kewt! Mules - PXL Skin, Detour Hair, Armidi Denim Mini, Elephant Outfitters Top, Bracelets by FBG (Fresh Baked Goods).

Those Boots Are Back...and Better.

When the Kitties Lair boots first popped onto my (and everyone else's) radar just before Christmas, I desperately wanted to blog them, I just loved them... they are beyond realistic. Those dangling flexi ties, the perfectly shadowed overturned top and great stacked wooden heels gave me plenty to adore. But I read a few posts on them on other blogs and I had heard that Babette Ultsch was in the process of revamping these beloved boots, so I held off. I am happy to report that the Venice Boots are still all that they were then, and now so much more.

Babette has added a few small details to the boot itself - some nice metal grommets on the back. But the biggest changes to the boot are in the form of a 'touch' for dialogue box that allows you to change the metal accents from silver to gold, the heel to a unified color heel or a stacked wood heel... and good news for all you blingophiles and blingophobes - you can change the bling intensity or turn it off altogether. She has intoduced the version 3.o boot in Black, Brown, Slate, Red, White and a fantastic Pink too. Demo available in store, check them out!
