StyleCard: Kitties Lair London Boots

It was an amazing and busy weekend, but I did manage to sneak in a little bit of shopping. One of my stops was to Kitties Lair where I often find great footwear, sure enough a new release from the lovely Babette Ultsch, the London Boots. The London Boots are a pumped up ankle boot with a great rolled down cuff that features and inside zip and an outside row of buttons, all balancing on the skinniest of stilettos. I also like the look of the silver tipped toe. They come in all the basic shades, and some nice fabrications; leather, patent & textile, so it's possible to find something to suit your tastes.

My other big find of the weekend was shoparmidi.com, which had some great new Armidi goodies not available in the store. My top fave was the Polo Dress, this one in Black and Grey Argyle... very easy to wear and great prim work. The belt from the Lulu set by MichaMi seemed to fit well and the woolen tights from Persona added warmth. I added bracelets, the stacked bangles from Caroline's and my new favorite little accessory shop U&R Dogs Dorothy Bracelet.

Sasche Flats

Every new release from Armidi creates a stampede over to the store. Shoppers show up in droves and fight the lag with enthusiasm (ok maybe not really enthusiasm, but they tough it out none the less). So I, like so many others...ran over and had to get my hands on the new goodies. These Sasche flats are adorable, and great quality. Available in many colors, I picked up the pearl. These are another shoe that would be great dressed up and dressed down (as shown here). If you haven't picked them up, run on over. I bet the lag isn't as bad now (I'm an optimist). New Viniani at Armidi

...say that 10 times, fast!

Oh, what sets my heart a flutter more than release day at Armidi? Surely I do not know. And there I was thick with lag and determination, I needed to see the shoes. Yesterday's massive release included accessories, Men's and Women's Gisaci items... and these, the Viniani Heels.


Oh joy, what bliss - so many colors... possibly too many colors! It was near to impossible to decide, and even harder after I saw the new clothing and wanted them to all cooperate well. I am going to have to learn to browse then buy! But decisions were eventually made, my picks; Chocolate - those sneaky Armidites tried to make me choose between 3 equally awesome browns (tisk, tisk!), Eggplant - irresistible shade, and Reja Pink - because I'm a girl darn it!

As usual the shoes are great, nothing bad to say about them - they just keep getting better! Take a closer look at the Viniani Heels by trying a demo, and see all the new releases at Armidi. You can also visit the Armidi Blog for fancier pictures than I could ever take. :)

10 Seconds in Paradise

Graci wins the shoe sleuth award of the day, her afternoon visit to Armidi netted us quite the little discovery. 'TP me!' was all I could say, and then fingers crossed that I didn't crash on the way. By the time I reached the site Graci had already made her first purchase - and there they were the new Dhali Bow Platforms. I had been waiting for these - ever since I saw the spread in Second Style Magazine about the Armidi gals - you can bet I noticed their feet more than anything else.

Unfortunately SL had it's way with us today, I made my first purchase - amazing and red on a dark wood stacked platform heel, and by the time Graci tried to grab a second pair transactions were failing across the grid. 'No Worries' I said, let's go snap some shots of these on the beach (not willing to risk another TP). So here they are... I would love to share all the names of the shades for you but Armidi booted us out soon after these photos were taken on the beach, a protective measure against stale transactions. But as you can see many combinations are available.

In any case - they are clearly fabulous, and worth any number of crashes and the like. As soon as you are cleared to shop without fear by the Linden's again, make your way over to Armidi to pick up the Dhali Bow Platforms. (Or check out the Armidi Blog.)

On Sales and Shoes

The good thing about a sale is adding all the new goodies to your wardrobe and knowing that you paid less. This has been an incredible time for sales in SL - something for everyone (who can surf the lag and remain cool headed in the process). With all this money that I must be saving on clothes and great hair at ETD and Last Call... I should be able to get some great shoes too, right?

I was just so happy this week when I heard there were some new items at Armidi, another fashion mecca to which I am drawn like a moth to flame... or err, boucle sweaters. I roamed in my usual circuit... hair, casuals, footwear... and OMG there they were... the Barcelona Slingbacks - OK, not 100% sure that they are new new - but they are new to me!

And so many flavors to choose from - some with contrasting gold soles, others that wrap edge to edge in those signature Armidi shades that I just love. But how to decide... then i remembered all my recent sale 'finds' - and I settled on 2 pairs (amazing restraint I thought) - the Seagrass (green is a weakness) and the rich Bole with it's brown upper and golden heeled sole. They are like little sculptures, so nicely shaped with a lovely matte sheen and slightly curled toe box. And once I paired them with my new Last Call casuals and ETD hair - I was positively gleeful. Aren't sales great? Now I just need to get that white pair off my mind, ooh the white. Happy lag everyone!
