A Closer Look at Giusia

Like pretty much every other blogger and fashionista on the grid, I made my way over to Giusia, the hot new store that opened on Friday. It has some stylish Men's and Women's clothing, accessories, skins and yes... shoes. I was truly excited about the store and it's contents, and eager to present more than just the shoes today, thanks for humoring me... but just look at these yummy skins and outfits... so impressed.

There are currently 2 styles of shoe available; the Ginevra and the Sculpted Stiletto. The Ginevra is a sexy little slingback with a lovely shape and some great texturing work. I was pleased with the overall look of the shoe and the dozens of colour options, some minor sculpted glitches in my viewer, but i would more than likely attribute that to rezzing issues as the shoes look great in the photos. The Sculpted Stiletto is a great basic pump, high shine and contrast heel, or monochromatic in some shades. Nicely done for first releases from Giusia. See below photos for shopping details. Brilliant Decoy

Ooooh you talented SL™ content creators... will you stop at nothing to temp the Linden™ dollars out of my virtual wallet! Although I cannot complain all that much, in cases like the Francisco Wedge the creator and owner of [Decoy], Annette Voight, was kind enough to send these delightful new wedges over at my request. Which only means I will have a more to spend next time I shop at her store. I have been a fan of her dresses and casuals since I discovered her shop few months back, and now she's making shoes too... love it!

Back to business!The Francisco Wedges are cute as can be and come in 13 shades, each pack comes with the white and the black trimmed options, smart! The slingback strap is well sized so it doesn't cut the ankle during typical AO movements and poses... something I always appreciate. And the criss-crossed lace detail on the front gives the shoe a nice casual character.

I have chosen to show the Navy (with black trim) and the Orange (with white) as they happen to be 2 of my favorite shoe shades, and ones that seem harder to find. It's a really great first shoe release from Decoy, my toes can't wait to see more!

Felicity from Tesla

Tesla Miles released these Shiny Felicity Slingback Stilettos this week, and you can't go wrong with cute shoes like these. Tesla's prices are very reasonable and her shoes are always fun! I paired these with a great new Bali frock from eLDee, and I plan to catch her fashion show put on by JM Models tonight at 6 pm SLT, her latest releases look fantastic!

On Sales and Shoes

The good thing about a sale is adding all the new goodies to your wardrobe and knowing that you paid less. This has been an incredible time for sales in SL - something for everyone (who can surf the lag and remain cool headed in the process). With all this money that I must be saving on clothes and great hair at ETD and Last Call... I should be able to get some great shoes too, right?

I was just so happy this week when I heard there were some new items at Armidi, another fashion mecca to which I am drawn like a moth to flame... or err, boucle sweaters. I roamed in my usual circuit... hair, casuals, footwear... and OMG there they were... the Barcelona Slingbacks - OK, not 100% sure that they are new new - but they are new to me!

And so many flavors to choose from - some with contrasting gold soles, others that wrap edge to edge in those signature Armidi shades that I just love. But how to decide... then i remembered all my recent sale 'finds' - and I settled on 2 pairs (amazing restraint I thought) - the Seagrass (green is a weakness) and the rich Bole with it's brown upper and golden heeled sole. They are like little sculptures, so nicely shaped with a lovely matte sheen and slightly curled toe box. And once I paired them with my new Last Call casuals and ETD hair - I was positively gleeful. Aren't sales great? Now I just need to get that white pair off my mind, ooh the white. Happy lag everyone!
