It's About the Enkythings

Shoe Fair 2011 isn't over yet! You still have plenty of time to visit the quad of sims and seek out some beautiful new footwear.

Another great release from Enktan Gully of Enkythings, one of my favorite shoe designers who successfully transitioned from beautiful shoes made from traditional prims to the now fabulous sculpted pumps, Talyna.

For this classic pump with a black sole Enkythings provides a rich palette of jewel tones and metal inspired shades. The black pair are pretty much a must have item - and you might just fall in love with a few more of these beautiful shades.

When you get to the Fair, you will find Enkythings located on the Ruthenium Sim. Do not miss your chance to find some beautiful shoes before the Fair ends!

Blog-O-Rama Saturday

Is it just me or did everyone release new shoes this weekend? I have once again decided to condense my reviews into one big posting, all outfit details will be at the end. So let's take a look at the latest from Biddle Boots, AOHARU Walk & enkythings.

The Ankle Boots from Biddle Boots, have a great satiny texture and are adorned with stylish gold chains and trims. I love the fresh pink color shown here, and the overall sleek shape. What seems to be the latest method of attaching footwear appears here once again, with an invisi-prim foot attachment and the actual boot attached to the lower leg.

Another cute release from Biddle Boots, shop here.

Next we have this surprising treat from AOHARU Walk Luxury Line, who has released a new foot in shoe Gladiator Sandal, called Enamel Gladiator shown here in white. I am really quite impressed with the detail and the style of this shoe, the skin adjustment was very simple using a hud with multiple color options, and then further fine tuning should you need it. One of my favorite feet in shoe styles that I have reviewed thus far.

Visit AOHARU Walk to view all colors.

Last but not least is a new style from Enktan Gully, enkythings, well actually its a variation on the previously released Sulaco Heels, These are not only a two tone version, but also come adorned with a sculpted flower in matching shades. A nicely textured shoe with a retro appeal.

Multiple Colors are available, so visit the main store to take a look.

The Stuff; with Biddle Boots; Redgrave Skin, Mikan Hair, Tangy Tank Top, Artilleri Pants, MichaMi Belt from Fearne Top (tinted). MiamMiam Charm Necklace, UR Dogs Bangle & Nautica Bunny Bag from Pampered Princess. with AOHARU Gladiator Sandals; Redgrave Skin, ::69:: Hair, Necklace and Bracelt by Violet Voltaire. with Enkythings; Redgrave Skin, Zero Style hair, Decolletage Outfit (belt included), Bangle from Ume Mode.

Call Me Courtisane

They teased. They begged us to come see what the fuss was about. When the time came, it was clear; there were shoes, there is collaboration, and something new has been born. Courtisane, a name that suggests the role of the beguiling and worldly women who were more than just high class ladies of the evening, they were skilled artisans and wearers of the most avante-garde fashion, sees the joining together of Enktan Gully of Enkythings and LeeZu Baxter of LBD.

LeeZu is known for her fantastic use of color and texture, really unique style and almost experimental designs, though very wearable. Enktan is a master of construction and masterful footwear that appeals to the discerning shopper who seeks quality and beautiful shape. Together they have created a line, at this point 4 styles, that combine luscious color, great looking textiles and details and most importantly wearable high fashion footwear.

Arriving at the store yesterday I was greeted by a flock of beautiful lingerie clad models, with feathered headdresses and fans, they danced and swung flirtatiously on high wires, the entire event was very entertaining, and I left with some nice looking shoes, and a set of the lingerie LeeZu will be releasing very soon. I will be reviewing the shoes, boots and booties more closely over the next few days. But if you are curious, please go take a look at the new collection from Courtisane, today. StyleCard: Enkythings Cypa

It's been a while since I have had the pleasure of reviewing something from veteran footwear creator Enktan Gully. Enkythings latest release, the Cypa Boots, are a nice blend of classic fitted leather boot and some interesting textures and patterns. The boots come in a standard size, a rather slim fitting one, but gladly include an XL and XXL calf piece if you do not wish to modify your shape to suit the boot. I wound up in the XL size, and as you can see, I had some fun trying on the many combinations... multiple styles available in the black, and an additional ones in the brown (not all are shown below).

I love the use of textiles in these boots, not something we see very often, they seem to lend themselves well to mix and match dressing, using the palate of the calf portion to inspire an outfit. I loved the combination of black and rich red-brown and decided to create a comfy casual look that echoes those shades. Starting with my favorite denims du jour from MUISM, and this chunky sweater from Skin Flicks, I pulled the belt off of my AOHARU Madras Check Shirt Dress. The hat/hair combo is a cute color change dealie from WAKA & Yuki and I added the polished wood hoop earrings from Paper Couture as the finishing touch.

Ready to go visit Enkythings for a closer look?

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, WAKA & Yuki Hair/Hat, Skin Flicks Sweater, MUISM Jeans, AOHARU Belt. Paper Couture Earrings.

T is for Timeless

Certain shoe styles will just never go out of style, the T-Strap pump is one of those styles in my book. I love that classic sexy style. and Enktan Gully has given us the latest update on this great look, the Ekota-T from Enkythings is a sure fire winner. Beautifully made from heel tip to toe, and an irresistible palate of shades, the Enkythings trademark.

I wore mine to take a stroll through one of my very favorite undiscovered shopping sims in all of second life, Laguna del Arenal one of the Costs Rica Sims, it's been newly remodelled and houses quite a crop of some of top retailers in SL in quaint little rustic shops. A must see, and a nice place to take a few photos!

Find the shoes at Enkythings now!

I am also wearing; Giusia Skin, Detour Hair, 'heart' Cupcakes Dress, Tickled Pink Necklace and Fresh Baked Goods Bracelet.

Footwear Expo Update: Enkythings

Wow! An unexpected pleasure when Enktan Gully of Enkythings dropped his latest on me, the Ekota. It's an amazing strappy pump, unlike anything I have seen in SL before. Beautiful shape, and wraps the foot flawlessly. Comes in 24 beyond delicious colors, and that means no mater what color Nicky Ree gown you need to match (shout out to Mui!), or any other sexy summer look for that matter, these shoes are probably gonna be a safe bet. Elegant and still sexy. Visit the Enkythings Booth at Shoe Expo now!

I am also wearing; PXL Skin, Cake Hair, TULI Dress, Kraftika Earrings, Earthtones Bracelets.

Taking Sulaco for a Walk

Some newness to share from Enktan Gully of Enkythings, the Sulaco is a peep toed ankle strap pump, and the quality of these is exceptional. They are exceedingly well done, loads of detail from stitching to strap, a perfectly shaped heel and lovely thin sculpted leather parts.

As with many Enkythings releases there are many color options available to suit your wardrobe, check in store for full selection. The Sulaco also comes in a 'Simple' and a 'Shades' version which features a second color contrast piece and insole. My fave is the 'oh-so-white' White Simple version, which features additional white sole detail - perfect for spring weddings!

Shown above are; Simple in Burgundy, Umber and White - and the Shades in Cinnamon, Pink and Olive. Shop for the Sulaco at Enkythings.

Also wearing; PXL Skin, Detour Hair, 'heart' Cupcakes Dress, Paper Couture Earrings, Earthtones Bracelet.

Treats from Enkythings

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, and while Enkythings creator Enktan Gully is far from an old dog - It seems that the traditional prim shoe construction wizard has picked up some new tricks. I can only imagine the challenge of learning to create footwear with sculpted prims, and doing it at the level you are used to providing to your customers. I think Enktan has really hit on that with the latest release of the Nana Pumps.

Admittedly I have neglected visiting Enkythings for far too long, my yellow Talyn Pumps are still a staple in my wardrobe... but since the addition of sculpties to the line I haven't really taken a good look, that ends today. The Nana Pumps are really lovely, a delicately shaped slide pump with subtle texturing and offered in the usual gazillion colors... OK only 24 colors, but that's plenty to enjoy.

Previous releases included the Gyala Slides with all sorts of sole options and funky rivet details and toe decoration, and a classic sculpted stacked wooden heel pump called Menisa (shown below). Both are available alongside the Nana Pumps at Enkythings headquarters.

Also wearing; Photo 1 - Minnu Skin, -=H2L=- Hair, /artilleri/ Top, LBD (LeeZu Baxter) Pants, Accessories by Earthtones & Caroline's. Photo 2 - Minnu Skin, -=H2L=- Hair, Mimikri Dress & Gloves, Accessories by Miam Miam (Coco freebie).
