StyleCard: Lya & Naïve

I will never get bored in SL as long as there is color and newness and endless ways to express my quirky all over the place style. Lyanis Sin of Lya is one of the colorful people in my SL, she is bright and funny and one-of-a-kind, and she keeps on impressing me with her rapidly improving skills at making great shoes. A quick look back at her very first sculpted shoes here, will demonstrate just what I mean. Lyanis' latest Lya release, the Nichelle Pumps are a killer looking shoe, I love everything about them, color, style and shape. A nice in-between from the hyper-real and the more 'cartoonish' sculpted footwear.

I also really like what I see from relatively new clothing brand Naïve, whose creator Leah McCullough, among her many other talents, has a really strong sense of color and some great fun looks in her store which can be found here. I paired it all with this amazing hat/hair combo from ::69:: and a constant favorite Fresh Baked Goods bangle.

Revolutionary in Rubber

I thought I had seen it all... OK, I never thought that, but these great new Rubba boots from Storm Schmooz caught me completely off guard. Bright in golden yellow and emblazoned with a flamingo pink pop art image of Che Guevara these high heeled, high shine boots are completely fab, right down to the pink grommet and tie accents.

So nice to see designers using the shoe or boot as a canvas for imagery and art. My guess is that this is just the first of some upcoming great new items from Storm Schmooz, so regular visits to the main store at Viva La Glam are highly recommended.

Shoes For My Sweet Tooth

Some days you just need a little 'pick me up'. Things get you down, and you need that afternoon sugar rush to give you a little lift. Today was a day like that for me, and thankfully Tesla Miles of TESLA had just the treat I needed... shoes! Not just any shoes either, the Estella Platform Pumps are an ingenious combo of retro funky styling, scrumptious bright colour and sweet details. As soon as she dropped them on me I had to get them on my feet, and I couldn't be happier about them.

The sweet Mary Jane buckles, the darling black ribbon on the back... and the super chunky platforms make these a really satisfying snack. Grab them in the following flavors; Black, Brown, Blue, Green, Honey, Pink, Red, White and Yellow. Personally I would grab the 9 pack... you never know when you might be in the mood for some serious snacking!

The Look of Bianca F

Bianca Foulon takes fashion seriously, in her day to day life in Milan's Fashion Industry she is surrounded by textures and colors that no doubt inspire her to create cutting edge fashions in SL for her label Bianca F. When I saw the new oxxo Fiori Floral Boots she had just completed, I contacted the designer to see if I could get my hands on some to share with the readers of On Your Toes. Her generosity astounded me, she not only happily sent me the boots (in a few variations) but in addition invited me down to the shop for a mini tour and a look at her other offerings. She was proud to share with me her new line of exotic make-up skins and accompanying glamorous feathered lashes, and even a few pieces from her garment collections (the Grey Tweed Suit is a special favorite). Everything in these photos was created by Bianca, with the exception of the Armidi Hair (and a few accessories).
What drew my attention to the boots initially was the exciting textiles and color that Bianca uses, they are created specifically for her footwear and are completely unique. The Boots have a simple pleasing look to them, some with stacked wood heels others in granite like stone and some textured to coordinate with the boot upper, as with the Daikiri Zebra Boots. These are not fashions for the timid, but they are definitely appealing and are a great example of an SL content creator that really pushes their personal limits, trying a little bit of everything. The end results are definitely worth checking out at her main store in Addictive.

Shiny Shines Again...

I mean really what else can I say that hasn't been said about Fallingwater Cellardoor's creations at Shiny Things? I just wanted to show off her 2 newest releases for any of you that haven't taken a look, or needed a second glance.

Up for grabs first are the MaryGeos, which have been out for a couple weeks. I'm a huge fan of multi tones and the MaryGeos are right up my alley. These are $300L and available in many colors, some subtle and others more dramatic such as the red and black shown here.

In Living Color

When I first set eyes on the new Patent Leather Slinky Stilettos from Maitreya my initial reaction was, Wow! just look at all those delicious shades. Not only have they offered the additional shiny brights this go round, the entire Slinky has been revamped, the shape slightly enhanced since my original review.

I already loved them so much, but when deciding on how to best present to you these gorgeous shades I remembered how badly I wanted to shoot some photos on Silent the amazing sim created by Kyoot Army creator Saeya Nyanda. I enlisted my co-blogger Graciana to join me in the land of film noire. I think the shots speak for themselves.

This fresh batch from the talented sculptress Onyx LeShelle features a really nice shine texture. They come in the following shades; Yellow, Red, Fuchsia, Blue, Wine, Nude, Silver, Gold and White. And some great Black options; Black Patent, Black Patent with Red Soles, and Black Patent with Purple Soles. These colour just 'Pop'!

They come with the optional brassy gold steel accents (silver steel on the sliver pair naturally) and optional heel clicks - for those of you who like to be heard making an entrance. These shoes are show stoppers and they speak to your good taste and fashionista flair - even in Silence.
