Shoes for the surfer in you........

Today Eponymous Trenchmouth of Jeepers Creepers released these new shoes in time for the shoe fair in a beachy theme that kind of struck me in a place in my heart that thanks to SL i have neglected alot in RL, and that is the beach! There are 3 different styles, Finz, Mavericks, and Reef Rider.

The Finz style I am wearing here is the Sea Grass colour and they are your classic Summertime open sandal. They are bright enough to capture attention but not of the wrong kind if you know what I mean. When I picture a sandal like this, it reminds me of the Reef Brazil ads in Surfing magazines. Trust me, if you have ever seen a Reef ad, you won't soon forget it.

The Mavericks shoe is less of a sandal more of a shoe. These are the 'Ice' colour I am wearing and as you can see, they have a rugged rubber-like texture that gives an impression of strength much like the legendary big wave Californian break which I assume it is named after that killed Hawaiian big wave charger Mark Foo way back in '94 (just to give you an idea of how strong the break is). these are probably the most versatile due to the strange shoe/sandal hybrid-ness of their appearance, so they could be worn with either jeans or shorts.

Finally the Reef-rider featured here in Red is another shoe/slipper hybrid that appears to have a spongy like texture with a steel strap. I wished I had a shoe like this when I was climbing the rocks down to Supertubes in Yallingup one day when I kicked my toe and ripped off most of the layers of skin and procceded to walk like a cripple the rest of the surftrip back in the day. Anyway, I must say these new releases are some cool casual footwear styles available at Jeepers Creepers. There are multiple colour options available, this is just a small sample so get on down to JCS today and give them a try!! Jeepers Creepers at the shoe expo & Jeepers Creepers mainstore

Shall We Dance?

Not my typical afternoon when I received a surprise folder from Spirit owner SavannahAnn McMillan. It's content... Ballet Boots, this I have to see. I do have some recollection of the Spirit name, likely I was looking for the wardrobe essential cheerleader costume at the time, but boots? OK - so here they are and I get the name, they are pretty and bow wrapped and yeah, a bit ballet like... but also really fun for a casual look. There is also a cute dangly little Spirit charm on the heel. What can I say, I am a sucker for girly stuff, sometimes.

I also noted the cute ballet slippers that come with the Spring Ballet Class Set and the Corset/Tutu Set, so naturally I had to show them off too... yup super cute. So here I am doing my best Ballerina impression... please excuse the fact that I have little to no natural talent... I blame it on the fact that at 3 years of age my ballet career was stolen from me when my dance teacher ran off with someone else's husband after 2 lessons, no lie.

I believe I have now fully achieved my dancer potential. If you crave the same vicarious fun, or want to grab your self some boots that are sure to make you feel feminine, visit Spirit.

Also wearing; Minnu Skin, Maitreya Hair (Loose Bun with amazing NEW textures... so great!), Jeans and Embellishments by G.L.A.M., Green Shimmer Tank by Camie Cooper, Shrug from Spirit Ballet Class Set, Diamonde Earrings, Necklace by Miam Miam.

5 Minutes Flat

I've been waiting for these flats, yeah... flats. My keen peepers spotted these as a work in progress inside the teeny 5 Minutes After shop located on niQue soil. I soon pestered owner Agathe Latte to find out when the release date might be... sadly they were not yet for sale. Today I visited again, and yes they were for sale, amazingly priced at 200 L per pair.

These sweet Ballet Shoes come in both pink and purple. They are an amazingly detailed leather slipper with elastic strap... just like my own had as a kid in ballet class. The texturing is really sensational, and I am glad I let Agathe finish these in her own time... these are really well done.

Dance on over to 5 Minutes After and grab a pair or a demo, and also check out her selection of neat boots and bags.

Also wearing; PXL Skin, ETD Hair, Dress by alafolie, Earring by UnTone.

A Maid well Matched

I ran into my friends Lyanis Sin of Sin Shoes, and Eloria LeShelle of Battered Boudoir and found them wearing these completely sweet sexy Maid outfits, complete with fuzzy toed slides. I was elated to find they had collaborated on this sassy little get-up... and immediately decided to share the fun with the readers of On Your Toes.

Admittedly this is an early offering from Sin, new to the sculpty universe, but the frothy fluff on the toes, the attractive shape and appealing price, the Marilyn shoes are a fun addition to your sexy shoe collection. The colours are perfectly matched with the Boudoir Maid sets from Battered Boudoir and really - every girl in SL should have sexy bedroom slip-ons and a Maid's costume in their wardrobe! Lucky me, I now have 4 flavors to choose from; Black, Pink, Red and Blue.

Oh, and by the way - I don't do windows!

Also wearing; Hair by ETD, Minnu Model Skin.

Need More Fuel?

If you haven't gone over to Fuel yet, I'm reminding you to go and take a look. Sandy Cleghorn had some cute and original creations and has been working hard on setting up her store. Today I wanted to show off a pair of her Dolly Barely Black Cherry Slippers, along with her Berry Legwarmers (these actually come with a pair of heels). These fat and scrunchy leg warmers have the cutest lace up feature in the back along with buckles & straps wrapping around.

Happy shopping, and if you see Sandy, tell her On Your Toes sent you!

Other stuff:
Alley Cat Top from Dutch Touch, Armidi Hair, IKI rolled up belted shorts, TaP tights, & Shiny Things Socks.
