SLink: Bare feet

Since I read Annessa's fantastic feature on the new toe shoes over at SLink, I just had to run over and grab a pair for myself. While there I also noticed something else, the Bamboo style bare feet! Siddean Munro's creation are a fantastic addition to the upcoming beach wear season (if you live in North America like myself), especially if you don't want to always wear your bathing suit with heels. However, I found a more domesticated use for these cuties in my quest to be barefoot and pregnant. What? SLhousewives need cute toes too! Visit SLink Online and InWorld

Oh My, Those Toes!

I am so glad that Siddean Munro thought to send me her latest release, not only has her talent continued to grow since the last time I reviewed her footwear, but it seems that her shoes themselves have sprouted toes, well whole feet really. I am a fan of prim feet, and it seems that the blogging community is warming up to them, really it was only a matter of time. Change can be scary, and amputation humour aside, I think that prim feet are here to stay and will continue to improve. Siddean's feet are cute, well not her actual feet, the ones in her two shoe styles that I am reviewing here, the Lovely Legs and the Desire. The SLink foot has a different look to the other famous feet in shoes which I am more familiar with, I find them to be attractive but a bit softer and more ample around the heel and toe areas, giving them a more animated look.

What I simply adore about these is the HUD attachments that make skin matching and customizing your shoe and accessories just a few clicks away. It did take me a few minutes to read the quick start note card that arrived with the shoes, but the process after that was easy as pie and I was happy with the result. Bright funky colors and even toenail art make these a really fun shoe to style to match your look perfectly. I will say that because they are a single attachment shoe, without an separate ankle section, I had to be a bit more careful with the poses that I chose to show them off, ankle position for more extreme poses yielded some interesting results, but for general walking and most typical AO poses this would not be a negative factor.

The Lovely Legs style, shown here in green are super sexy and did in fact make for that lovely legged look, especially with the new Lime version of the Elate! Felicity Dress. More newness is the completely irresistible hair from DejaVu called Lady Crocodile. I added some great touches of color with the customizable head band, lemon yellow beads from Ume Mode (color change), Bangle set from Finc! and Patent Lemon purse from Celestial Studios. The Desire shoes got the pink treatment with the same Elate! dress in Blush, and another morsel from DejaVu, the Mademoiselle with customizable trio of bands. Simple and Sparkling accessories from U & R Dogs, a personal fave, completed the look.

Please visit Siddean for her sexy shoes, and her other wonderful items at SLink.

What a Knock Out!

The arrival of the Stiletto Moody BARE© has really stirred up a lot of discussion in the fashion community. Talk about who was first, who is or isn't revolutionary, and as usual about value for our Lindens spent. One thing I want to clarify before I launch into my review of this particular item, is the quotation provided by the Stiletto Moody team that suggests it was the first sculpted shoe in Second Life. The official press release contains the following "...the designer who brought sculpted shoes to Second Life introduces Stiletto Moody BARE ©...", at the time I included that in my Rumor Mill post I was relaying the leaked information as I had received it. And although I feel comfortable saying that Stiletto Moody is responsible for bringing the first hyper-realistic and highly detailed sculpted footwear to SL, I do believe it was not the first footwear to use sculpted components.

And now for the details of the new release, and all things considered, I do feel it warrants the buzz it has generated. We are talking about something that is a complete foot in shoe system, now i know there is something out there that has a foot and shoe, but Stiletto Moody has as always sought to go a bit further, the elegant ankle wrapped shoe, the wisp thin sole, the highest of heels, and a perfectly manicured and beautifully shaped foot and ankle are really sensational.

Something of this magnitude can only be fully realized with the special features that allow for custom skin matching, ankle fit resizing, complete toenail polish set and toe ring options, and then the usual bells and whistles associated with the SM brand. The ones shown here are the BARE Greta one of three new styles, and I found it fairly easy to match my skin tone (note these were done in a bit of a hurry, I could easily have fiddled more), and was positively blown away by the elegant look of the foot and wrapped ankle straps, the subtle shadows across the toes where the strap sits. I noticed very few glitches with the joining of the avatar body with the ankle/foot, particularly after I resized the ankle slightly. There is a nice range of shades here; Bad Seed Red, Black, Midnight, Silver, Gold and Taupe. An amazing bonus here is that these work extremely well with almost all of my standard and artistic modelling poses, the potential for photography is great here.

As with other SM releases, this one coincides with a 40% rebate at time of purchase sale for all previously released footwear. For more details on the 'Members Only' sale please join the Stiletto Moody group for access and information. (click images to enlarge.)

StyleCard: J's Boots

Well boot season has officially begun, and despite the fact that I am more often in stilettos, it's hard not to fall for these amazing boots from J's. The 'real toes' of the summer have made their way into some funky laced up boots. The J's Real Toe 2-Way Boots are JB Gazov's most recent release, and they can be worn a variety of ways, all of which are pretty irresistible. Not only do these come with the adorable prim toes that can be tinted to match your skin, you can select from an assortment of toenail polish options too, but these clever boots do double duty with a closed version of the boot, and a version without the prim toes if you are attached to showing off those sexy avatar feet instead.

I decided to go with a simple but stylish monochromatic look for this style, starting with Maitreya's Jade hair with color changing knit hat. The scarf also has a color change option and comes in 2 lengths from :sey. The Mirli sweater is from Maitreya, and it's open back is a nice compliment to the open toed boots. Some simple Armidi rolled capri jeans, some bangles from Armidi and Caroline's seal the deal.

And now for a little preview, these are the boots that every little cowgirl and cowgirl wannabe has to have. These J's Fringe Cowgirl Boots are soon to be released, and I really love these... moving flexi fringes that echo your every move, line dancing or otherwise, too adorable! I am so digging with my new vintage jeans from Muism, and this asymmetric and totally wonderful jacket from M&R Cupcakes. Hair/Hat is ETD on sale now! (click on images to enlarge)

Be sure and visit J's soon!

Stopping Traffic

Short, sweet, and straight to what's on my feet. J's Real Toe Cross Belt Pumps, yes more of those amazing shoes with prim toes. These are a perfectly shaped classic pump, with spectacular cross strap details revealing the open toes. The toes are skin tone tintable, nail polish options and toe ring options too. And I have to highly recommend this silvery white color, seriously hot... and so rare to find a 'white' shoe with this much style.

Go get them here at J's!

Also wearing; GIUSIA Skin, Damselfly Hair, Ce Cubic effect dress, Earrings by Creamshop.

Toe Picking, Really.

JB Gazov, creator behind the amazingly well made J's line recently sent me his latest great release, and I have been sitting on this post for a couple days while my modelling career has had me very busy. But I have been wearing them around, these fantastic looking Real Toe Tassele Wedge Sandals, and getting loads of compliments on them. The most popular comment, well, question...'OMG, are those... toes?'. And, yeah kids, they sure are.

10 adorable little sculpted toes, 5 on each foot (clever), with toenails polished to perfection and itsy bitsy toe rings, they have it all. You can customize the flesh tone, the rings (2 options) or remove them on each foot, and a selection of nice toenail polish options too. Wedges are always a great summer shoe, and these are a great shape, nice details in the bead and tassel accessories, and you can wear with or without the upper leg attachment (which comes in 3 sizes), as you can see here.

6 Great colors offered; Beige, Black, Blue, Green, OrangeBrown, and Red. A very nice assortment. This is a pair I highly recommend, they sure are fun to walk around in and get asked about.

You can find them at J's, happy shopping!

I am wearing; PXL Linda Skin, Laqroki Fallen Hair, Ce Cubic effect Hooded knit, Carolines's Accessories.

All Fueled Up!

Those gazillions of Fashion Consolidated notices I get everyday can sometimes make me want to hit that 'leave group' button (let's not even touch the group chat spam situation). But I do read them, most of them, especially anything to do with footwear. Fuel released some pretty neat sculpted boots yesterday, I visited the main store at Envy to take a closer look.

Though creator Sandy Cleghorn offers some other nice looking shoes, boots and accessories - the new Tainted Boots are a unique combination of boot, open-toed shoe and slouchy leg warmer all in one, and they offer some pretty unique features too. Funny how the minute I see leg warmers I always think about Jazzercise, the Jane Fonda Workout & Flashdance... so i dug through my wardrobe and just went with it! Oh yeah.. I am a maniac on the floor.

Let's look a little closer at some of the neat extras included on this boot. Most obviously... the adorable prim toes, yes toes. The folder comes complete with toe shade and nail shade rezzable prims that allow you to customize the shade of the skin and the varnish... possibilities are endless here. The slouched leg warmer comes in a few neat variations for texture; Wooly (with bonus black & gold boots), Spots, Print, Fur, Gold Metallic & Tartan. The upper leg portion is scripted, a simple touch with raise or lower the leg warmers individually - gotta love that! Here I am showing the Special Edition Wooly Set and the Print Set.

Obviously, Lycra is not required to enjoy these boots. Sorry - got to go, I am running late for my 'Cats' audition!

Also wearing; Hair by ETD, Minnu Model Skin, Kitties Lair 'Call On Me' Outfit.
