Ray & Lily

Just came across a little article on the Daily Mail website which reviews Lily Cole's dissapointing first performance for Cambridge university. I've only ever seen her act in the new St Trinians so i wouldn't know whether or not she's good - i haven't yet watched the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I really don't know much about her really, i'm only writing this because i quite like this photo of her on stage:

The Ray LaMontagne gig that i went to last night in Manchester was absolutely wicked by the way. I love love loooove his music (and him haha...it's unavoidable if you love his music!). He said a few things to the audience but he's quite shy and seems to have his on and off days. I kept hoping he would say more as he's so sweet and funny but alas, it wasn't to be. Today i've been listening to bits on youtube of him chatting on inbetween songs, i'm wondering whether he does it more in the US as he may be more comfortable with the audience over there (as he's American himself)...if i ever visit there one day, i'll have to see if he's doing any gigs to see whether or not my theory is true. Plus after seeing him last night, i'll take any chance i can to see him live again (cost permitting of course haha...otherwise i'd be on a plane this summer for his US tour!). Anyway, sorry for the waffle. But what can i say? You just can't beat a bit of great music...

Here's a couple of talking clips, if you're interested. I doubt many people are but you never know:

This is 'Half Alive', an un-released live song. Bear with it on the sound quality. It's fine when you've got your headphones on and turn the sound up a bit. Or perhaps if you've got good speakers - my laptop one's are unsuprisingly not great (though not thaat bad considering) so i wouldn't know. I find this song so beautiful and heartbreaking:
